I got a minions annual from Home bargains (prior to seeing the £land one) and it is different to the £land one as it has a build a 3D minion in the middle and was 99p - so there are 2 versions out there it seems x

From Union Street, Glasgow Poundland - Mainstays (seems to be a Wal-Mart brand?) Wax Cubes in Garden Rain or Dreamsicle (6 cubes per pack). Also a Vanilla variety. From reading around, they seem to get good reviews.

And a 3D Virtual Reality Viewer (www.3d-vr-viewer.com) from Argyle Street.

Edit: Just remembered and forgot to add, Union Street, Glasgow, has a few other Male and Female Kappa sets at the tills.

    Nero Man http://www.fragrantica.com/perfume/Kappa/Nero-Man-12869.html
    Moda Woman http://www.fragrantica.com/perfume/Kappa/Moda-Woman-12874.html

There was another Female variety I'm not sure I remember correctly but think it was this one, Perla: http://www.fragrantica.com/perfume/Kappa/Perla-Woman-12872.html (might pick one up when I pass next time - sounds quite nice!)

Not many reviews on Fragrantica for these, though.
  • I find the usb mains phone charger to be pretty handy for £1. Its rated at 1amp.

That Battlefront book looks awesome - hopefully I can find one for my brother!

From Sauchiehall Street, Glasgow, Jacob's Christmas Crackers 250g (took a pic of the back of the pack so you can see what's in them - not sure what's so Xmassy about them?).

And something that isn't really a mega-bargain but a good little extra for Barbies or similar, Bella Doll Outfits (two boob tube dresses with comb and handbag), and Urban Girl Doll Outfits (boob tube dresses, a bit more contemporary, with handbag and comb).

Starlytes 85g/3oz small jar candles, Peach Mango Sorbet and Soft Linen from Trongate, Poundland. They seem pretty strongly-scented but haven't tried them yet!

This store also has the Mainstays Wax Melts x6, in Sweet Pea (pink) this time.

Edit: Also (put it straight in the fridge) got an 8 pack of Cathedral City Mature Cheddar Slices (8 pack) from Sauchiehall Street too.

Another Edit: Hm, not sure about the Starlyte candles. Even though they smell strong unlit, couldn't determine much scent from the Soft Linen one, which I had burning for around five hours. The Peach Mango Sorbet one seems much stronger.
  • Loulou to answer your query about why the Christmas crackers are christmassy, they usually say happy Christmas on them, on the traditional cream cracker in the box.

    Ps
Thank you for your posts, they are really helpful.

Thanks, aw that's sweet (your compliment and the "Happy Christmas" on the crackers). Merry Christmas, all, and happy Pound-shopping in 2017 :D

A few more bits from Poundland.

Trongate, Glasgow: Rare Nails kits Wild Thing and Inked (varnishes with nail wraps). Also got another J2O 750ml bottle in Pear & Raspberry this time.

Argyle Street, Glasgow: President Petit Camembert 145g (also in Union Street), Oakwood Smokey Cheddar 150g. Microfibre Opaque 40 Denier Tights (various sizes) - not sure what these are like but useful for the colder days. Union Street has the tights too.

The Camembert for one looks good! Stick it in the oven and then get dipping with breadsticks.

ETA: Aldi does a French Brie that is better value: 500g for £2.29.
