From Trongate, Glasgow - the Official Mojang Minecraft 2017 Annual (rather than the Tips & Cheats Unofficial one), and they are also selling Swizzels Fright Mix (from Hallowe'en!) for 25p, just as you walk in the door.

Thought I'd pick up some more of the opaque tights as I was so pleased with them - tried out a pair last night for the first time. XL fits just fine (I'm just over 6 feet!) and they feel good quality.

From Union Street, Glasgow - 3 Pairs One Size Tights in Chiffon, 15 Denier Appearance. Not sure how long these will be* as they're "one size" , 36-42" (92-107cm). No idea who the manufacturer is of these as there's no clues on the packaging.

There were more "Essential Style"-branded tights (same as the opaque ones).

2 pair packs this time - 15 denier with Lycra in either Natural or Black.

Also they have "Essential Style" Glossy Tights (which I don't like as much), in 1 pair packs in Natural or Black. Not sure if there's more shades out there.

7 pairs of tights for £3!

Also, Argyle Street has the "vintage" exposed filament lightbulbs, but most of the varieties in this store were ES (Edison Screw). A few were Bayonet Cap fitting. The only SES (Small Edison Screw) bulbs were candle shape, which doesn't really go with the retro vibe.

Grabbed the jpeg from Hotukdeals (original thread here http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/antique-style-squirrel-cage-filament-bulb-1-poundland-2572228 ) and rotated the picture :D

    The stand looks like this

And, Argyle Street has ski socks (look a bit like this design https://static-cotswoldoutdoor-asadventure.netdna-ssl.com/productimages/285x285/j13100861010.jpg ). I was tempted but a few of the pairs didn't look that great stitching/quality-wise, the pattern was a bit uneven on some.

*Edit: Tried out one of the "3 pair" pack tights last night, need to take a little care pulling them up compared to the XL sizes, but they fit fine. They don't look like 33p tights at all! Will look out for more of these - pleasantly surprised!

All Xmas stock 25p now in my local store.

I got some sets of toiletries, ice bucket (with tongs) & picture frame for an album cover all 25p.

    :)
  • Wow those vintage light bulbs are an absolute steal at £1! I bought some from eBay for about £7 3 years ago. They're great because a) they look good, and b) if you don't care about the low voltage, they never break! I've had mine going for 3 years like I said without having to replace.

I noticed Poundland are doing a 50p event this January (must be their "January Sale"!) :D Will have a proper look tomorrow, had to dash in before catching a train!

Noticed in Argyle Street (on my way to the self-service till) there were hardly any Vintage Bulbs left - the stand was pretty full only a few days ago! Hopefully they'll get more in - I'm looking for bayonet cap retro shape bulbs.

The Xmas Stock 25p promo is out of stock online but these links may give you an idea what's in stores http://www.poundland.co.uk/christmas/christmas-presents
