Quick nip in to Argyle Street, Glasgow for those cushions for sis!

This store also has Maybelline Color Show Designer Nail Art Pen (Gold) and another Burt's Bees item - lip gloss called Lip Shine in 060 Smooch. (Says Calla Lily on the receipt for some reason!).

Sorry to those who can't view my photos on Internet Explorer (just realised the orientation is off, I usually use Mozilla).

Re my stores, just lucky, but there's plenty of things I never find!! Depends how fast you are (having three stores in the city centre doesn't hurt either).

http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/sleek-cosmetics-including-lip4-palette-base-duo-1-poundland-2535585 Apparently there's also a Sleek Lip Palette (4 lip shades and brush) out there also. Thanks to HUKD member becky5840.
  • Some months ago I bought some bargain RAC branded H1 headlight bulbs from Poundland. I bought a few given the price. But changing the bulb didn't solve the problem - turned out the fuse was blowing but no obvious fault, bulbs seemed OK too. I had dug out the number of an auto electrician - £60 just to look. Just before calling I bought a £2.40 Lucas bulb from Europarts, changed the bulb and fuse again. Waited for it to blow but no, we have an offside headlamp again. Poundland RAC bulbs in the bin, all of them. Hours wasted scratching head and changing fuses (not easy on a Honda CRV unless you are a double jointed octopus). Some things just aren't bargains! Don't buy car headlight bulbs from Poundland.

I'm looking for small items that I can use to fill the LO's advent calendar with (not sweets though). A simple puzzle that can be divided into its bits, or something simple that can be built up over the month would be ideal. In years to come a charm bracelet would be a goal, but for now it has to be small but not a choking hazard as she's not yet 2. Stickers that could create a drawing, perhaps? This year, I'd like to spend as little as possible on the contents and a Poundland purchase might be ideal. Please keep an eye out for me and report back?

LouLou, Diamond: I await your findings!

Was in Trongate, Glasgow for a quick dash.

Frozen sports bottle (though not really a bargain when you see the 49p offerings on Argos - if they're in stock!). http://www.argos.co.uk/product/3314391 and http://www.argos.co.uk/product/3338092
    (Poundland sports bottle)

This store is also selling the RAC Snow Cleats again - been in there about a year ago.

VfM4meplse, the smallest child I have in my life is now 7 so I buy child-friendly things with her in mind, but I will keep eyes peeled!
