Hi REDRUBY, PIIPA S, sorry it is coal tar (mistyped cold tar) it's a thick gunge added to bath water to help with psoriasis. The tar is distilled from bituminous coal and applied to the skin. Mum has this treatment when going through a bad bout, normally takes a week of bathing twice a day.
CANDYGIRL, The midwife cancelled DD's anti-natal app on Wed, she has to see her next Wed. She has had Rubella and was told to wait and see if she comes out in spots, smacks to me off stable, horse, door.0 -
Morning all

Happy Anniversary Sistercas :T
Had a bit of a lie in this morning, but it doesn't really amount to much sleep as it was after 4am when I went to bed. Our local annual festival was on so we went down there for the day and it ended up as a late one, playing pool and dancing to awful pop songs
I'd initially taken the dog with me on the bus so would've had to return before the buses stopped running as taxi drivers won't allow him in the car, but we got there and they said "No Dogs Allowed" for the first year ever so I brought him home after a couple of hours sniffing lady dogs bum in the pub.
Have to wake OH up soon as he's off to dismantle more of his Beetle. It's a 1972 (I think) and it's been neglected for so long that it no longer has a survival rate as a car so he'd decided to transform it into a trike. Next project apparently is to build a Batmobile like the one in the past 2 Batman films, he looked up how to build one on the internet. At $250000 per car, it's not very OS!
Can't remember if I mentioned a few weeks back, but OH's Dad has said we can have his car when he gets his new one. He's even insuring and taxing it for a year for us, very generous man! Well, he went to get his new car and drove it our of the showroom, got 2 minutes down the road, turned round and took it back. They'd given him a standard petrol engine instead of the turbo diesel one he ordered  So we have to wait another couple of weeks for them to build the right car and ship it over from Belgium! Still, it'll be worth the wait! OH's promised to take me out a few times for some relaxing afternoons if I provide the picnic
This afternoon we're off to my brother's in Sunderland for a buffet/party, he's decided that as he has not seen his nephews for so long (I think we've both only met the youngest one once, when he was 3 weeks old and now he's 8 months!) then he's making my sister drive up for an afternoon visit. My Step Dad's picking us up at 1.30pm so I've got a few hours cleaning time first. WM is on so hoping it stays nice and as OH is off to his friends to work on the trike I can whizz around downstairs with the hoover in one hand and a duster in the over! Also need to ice the cake I've baked for my brother before we go.
Benthosboy ... where about in Yorkshire are you moving to?
Right I've rambled on for long enough! Better go and boil the kettle and wake OH up and get some cleaning done!
Hope everyone has a Super Sunday whatever you are doing :jSmall business owner 🧵 Ex MSE comper 🏆 Student loan repayer 💴 Romanian dog rescuer 🐕 Hopefully a cost of living survivor 🤞🏻0 -

Hi all - a very late start for me this morning. Had a couple or three G&Ts last night so I'm a bit slow this morning!
DH has taken DS2 and future DIL to meet the chap whose villa they are honeymooning in in Marbella; we thought it would be a good idea for him to know who was staying in it!
Raining here today and a bit cool; just the weather for a good old Sunday roast - done in the Remoska, of course! My oven doesn't get a look-in these days.
Martyn - wishing you and ya Jooooolie the very best of luck in your new life; please let us know you arrived safely and keep in touch.
Beth - (((hugs))) to your Mum and, of course, your DBs.
(((Hugs))) to Smoky and the LOs, PenPin, Candygirl's Dad, Jayward and all in need.
Today I shall be mostly doing wedding favours! Apart from having to go out a bit later and get the rest of the ribbon (another 35 metres - how did I get it so wrong?!) everything else is ready to be assembled while I'm watching the TV over the next couple of evenings. I also need to add hot pink ribbon and a flower to my hat and some flowers to my shoes as well as try and find the time to make a wedding card.
My BIL is coming late on Tuesday night which, TBH, is sooner than I'd have liked but DH said he'll take him to work with him for the rest of the week. As he's contract painting, he'll just give him some brushes and he can help. Otherwise, he'll be hanging round the house getting in my way. My Sis and BIL are bringing my Mum up on Thursday afternoon and then they'll all go back on Saturday and then I'll zonk out for about a week!
Anyway, BM has just beeped - I'm batch baking a few loaves so I don't have to do it while I have visitors; I want to make a cake and plan the meals while they are here although BIL has said he'll get us a takeaway on Wednesday night. If I can suggest fish and chips from the chippie on Thursday I'll avoid cooking altogether!
Anyway, I'd better go and get something done.
See you all later.
