Good Morning, all :) (((hugs to everyone that needs them)))

Sunnyday - yep, I still have the lentils - I'll probably do that and add a handful here and there to sauces. Thanks for the tip. :)

Studentgirl - I was just telling my OH that my parents have offered to take us blackberrying for a nice crumble. I hope it's soon we go, because I've never gone before!

Benthosboy - best of luck with your move!

    Sistercas - Happy Anniversary! :)

Well, last night was a riot. The fancy dress 60s themed murder mystery was a laugh and a half. Ok, so it fell to pieces plot-wise in places, but everyone was enthusiastic and got into character, and we all had a fab time. Finally got in at about half past one, or I would have been up sooner! Today it is somewhat overcast - the OH was going to cut the grass but it's wet, so he'll have to leave it for another time as he has band practice today, and I've got some cleaning/ironing to do. I've also got a friend from when I was at school coming over this morning, so it'll be good to see her. Moussaka for tea (with some for the freezer, and definite room for hidden lentils!) and I'll do something for lunch that isn't bacon-related, as I've had enough of that for now!

Hope you're all well, and have a good Sunday.

    hi everyone.
more rain today. but I need to spend another day catching up with chores anyway.
yesterday phoned about how to close my car loan so they are sending the paperwork next week. got tax credit paperwork for this year so will be about £10 better off every 4 weeks :) and got rebate of £138 which I have used to clear some of the holiday visa bill. cleaned some of house and will finish rest today. kitchen needs a deep clean and freezer needs defrosted after "someone" left the door ajar.

off to asda to get the monthly shop done. need lots for the store cupboard, but I have £8 in vouchers to use :)

congratulations and hugs can be collected here :)
we had some sad news yesterday that my elderly uncle had died. he had been very poorly for some time and was almost 90. unfortunately they stay far away and we won't be able to attend funeral but I have sent flowers.

    Morning all:j :j
It's kind of grey and drizzly here today , so that stops me from going to the car boot sale, and will hopefully make me do some decluttering of the spare room, to fit the pram in that's being delivered this week:j :j :j
Have to go and get Mum some flu tabs and ice lollies as she has a cold n sore throat, and is tbh exhausted with caring for Dad.I'm gonna try and get her to go to bed for a rest, but she wont relinquish control at all:rolleyes:

    Gday!
The weather here in Perth is much nicer today, no rain and lots of sun, only 17 oc though.
Had a great night out last night at a 40th birthday party. I think that the Aussies were a little out numbered by the Poms though! My SIL ended up sitting on the floor doing 'Oops upside your head' what a sight! She's in the kitchen at the minute cooking an enormous roast dinner for 12 and it smells lovely.:D
Tomorrow we're heading off into the centre of Perth on the train, it takes about 30 minutes from here.
Hope you're all happy and healthy? :D

    Morning all,

It has been raining heavily overnight here, and the sky is dangerously black, , so we might be in for a day of it, I wanted to get in the garden, OH made me some cloches for my veg beds yesterday :T , and they are fab,so I wanted to get out and plant my winter veg out, and start another lot off, and plant my christmas spuds, but its not looking good.

We went up to my parents yesterday, they are having new oak flooing put into the lounge this week, and asked if we could help take the carpet up, my dad can't bend his knees too well, they said the room would be cleared when we got there but  not a thing had been done, so OH and I got stuck in cleared the room and had taken the carpet up within 15 mins, they were very gratefull though, I think my natural organisation skills come from growing up in chaos :D

Got a bit of bacon simmering away for lunch, will have it with mash peas and pickle, then tea will be help yourself.

Martyn, safe journey, let us know how you get on x

Candy, hugs to your mum xx

Guess whose had a few wines. :D:p Been such a glorious day here. Wish it was like this all year round. Took DGS for a walk up the beach & managed to sew a little. Got some visitors this arv. They were American. They can't help that though. ;) Moved on the island about a year ago. Really nice people. Had tea. HM Soup & toast with strawberries & icecream. I don't think I should have had the icecream. :D
