Sturll, again, do you have any pictures to back up your claim?
If you do, please feel free to share them with us.
Also, what 'wax' was used on your Audi?
And where was it 'waxed'?0 -
sturll - I am puzzled as to after purchasing a new Audi (as you stated), you didn't get them to sort out the paintwork? Why did you just meekly take yourself off and do what they told you after, as you say, going in there screaming and shouting (or whatever). It was up to Audi, or the dealer to sort out your problem, not you.
I would in no way have accepted their advice to wax the surface, if that worked, which I doubt.
Doesn't say much for Audi if that's what actually happened.0 -
If a neighbour was in I would ask him if he would allow me to apply some wax to the area of his car that has suffered clear coat failure just to prove that the OP is wasteing their time takeing sturll's advice.0

No i didnt take a photo and dont really have any real concern to feel the need to prove it happened. In fact i couldnt care less. Unlike you (allegedly) everytime i have an issue in life i dont take a snap shot.
I didnt meekly walk off from Audi, the guy told me what to do, i did it and it worked - was i supposed to go back and kick off? Oh, and this is a guy who works at Audi.... Not some back street mechanic who likens painting a car to running the country - my 6 year old paints.
Also I never said i have clear coat whatever it is. What you jumped up £5.50 an hour glorified grease monkeys keep failing to understand is..... I took the car to Sainsburys and jet washed it. Afterward it had little speck things all over it. I went to Audi who told me to get it waxed. I had it waxed and it was sorted.
Now, read that through a few time and reflect, let it sink in. I appreciate you are clearly mentally challenged and even after 6 times saying this you seem to be unable to understand it. But read it slowly, put your finger between the words, whatever helps.
Finally, since you seem so certain waxing didnt work, what did the valet do to it then? Re spray it on the sly?0 -
No i didnt take a photo I would like to see a picture of your car in it's current state so that we can assess it in all it's glory. and dont really have any real concern to feel the need to prove it happened. If you make these wild outlandish claims on the internet then you will have to appreciate there are going to be people who are prepared to challenge the nonesense. That is life I'm afraid. In fact i couldnt care less. Myself and the Detailing Wolrd Community sure do. We would like to know what this magical wax is, that way we can stop wasting our hard earned 'Grease Monkey wages' on the likes of Zymol & Swissvax.Unlike you (allegedly) everytime i have an issue in life i dont take a snap shot. Nothing wrong with taking a photo of your new Audi if you have washed it and lots of 'little speck things' appear. It's called evidence.
I didnt meekly walk off from Audi, the guy told me what to do, i did it and it worked - Which is where the 'magic wax' we are all so interested in comes into the picture. was i supposed to go back and kick off? A happy customer always returns! Oh, and this is a guy who works at Audi.... Yes we've established that. Not some back street mechanic who likens painting a car to running the country Both need lots of carefull preparation and have to be executed with great skill and prowess.- my 6 year old paints. Sounds like he/she applied the CC to your A3.
Also I never said i have clear coat whatever it is. Incorrect my friend. I showed you an image of CC failure, asked you if this is what you had and you replied "YES". What you jumped up £5.50 an hour Why do wages come into it? Paris Hilton can make $6K just by turning up to a night club and puking her little guts up after a night of cocktails. glorified grease monkeys Almost, I build cars for the worlds largest Motor Manufacturer. They also give us 3 paid weeks off in the 'summer'. Hence why I'm sat here chuckling at you Sir. keep failing to understand is.....Yes, that's the general concensus right now. I took the car to Sainsburys and jet washed it. Yes we get that bit. Afterward it had little speck things all over it. Did you wash it with Cilit Bang? ...Bang and the Lacquer's gone? I went to Audi who told me to get it waxed. I had it waxed and it was sorted. Show us a picture of the magically cured surface and we will understand
Now, read that through a few time and reflect, let it sink in. I appreciate you are clearly mentally challenged We understand what Clearcoat is, and what happens when it flakes offand even after 6 times saying this you seem to be unable to understand it.Sound familiar? But read it slowly, put your finger between the words, whatever helps.
Finally, since you seem so certain waxing didnt work, what did the valet It would be a Valeter* do to it then? This is what we are trying to determine. By which I mean, explain to you as an individual That it is impossible to replace CLEARCOAT (whatever that is :rotfl:) with WAX! ok?
Re spray it on the sly? That is what we are trying to point out if you would take a small slice of your 'inner nice person' to appreciate this.
Thankyou for your consideration :money: .
Have we understood Sir?0 -

Like i have said a few times. Lets see what the OP says when he has tried it.
Not a bad read though.0 -
Thankyou mate,
I'm all for people trying different options. I just don't want to see them flop.
BTW, I'm still wondering what wax was used, and who applied it for you?
Thanks,
Chris0 -

-
