"These guys should have public liability insurance"
Lets hope for his sake they do
I have to agree with Steveo no way will wax do any good at all....
It wont hide or mask the damage at all the only way to repair it is a trip to a body shop where the panels can be stripped back and started again from a sound base......0 -

fact !
im sure the original poster has enough expense coming if they want it resprayed , dont post b.s and get them to waste more money
Agree, no way will wax replace laquer. If the lacquer has been removed, it needs to be resprayed.0 -
so explain how a wax coating can replace the laquer ?
youre right im just some moron thats been painting cars at dealers for the last umpteen years..i know nothing at all0 -
Whether or not they have insurance is irrelevant, if they damaged your car, they're liable0

Look. Audi gave me that advice, i did it, it worked.
Lets just see how the op reports back and then we'll see if your just a moron who paints cars and doesnt know his job or not.0 -
its impossible , i know my job for sure or i wouldnt offer up duff advise0

I don't understand that about waxing. Surely it would come off next time it's washed?I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Old style MoneySaving boards.

No, im sat thinking what a knob end you are. When you read my post are you missing the word that says it worked. I dont know nothing about lacquer or how to paint a car but ill guess its hardly rocket science. What im saying you thick tw@ is that Audi told me to do it and it WORKED. Even someone as apparently slow as you can understand that.
Or should we start with 'the bus was red'
Like i said, see what the OP says when he has done it.0 -
When i bought my nice new spankly A3 i jet washed it and did exactly the same thing as the OP. I went back to Audi kicking and screaming and they told me go get it valeted with a full wax.
I did this and all was sorted.
Unlike you who is just a tit who is speculating i have actually had this problem you bell end.
FACT
Lets just see how the OP reports.
And a 'fact' that is not factual! Well done. Calling people a 'tit' and a 'bell end' really added power and stature to your argument. Congratulations. However I (and nearly everyone else on here) are aware that wax couldn't possibly replace clearcoat as its applied as a stage of the painting process. Wax is applied by people in their garages with a cloth. What makes your argument funnier is that you are arguing with a man who paints cars for a living. So far your posts are as useful as a one legged man in an !!!! kicking contest....0
