Having a good week so far here toffee - sorry to hear about your bad time lately - hope all is well now? xx :grouphug: (oerr missus ..... dodgy looking hug ! lol)

I did get on the scales yesterday (I know, I know ! lol) and i've lost 3lb so really pleased. I always lose a lot my first week (diet pro here:o ) and it evens out after that.

Am really trying to just eat 5 small, healthy meals a day and it seems to be working much better (psychologically) than when I was on what I call a 'proper diet'. I think, because i'm not denying myself anything but making sure I have smaller portions and lots of salad/veg/fruit with my meal, I seem to be much happier this time around and definitely not as hungry - does that make sense?

Hope everyone else is doing well ........ my first weigh in (was on holiday last week) on Sunday so will check in again then.
    :jWeight loss to date 1st 11.5lb :j

I really have no confidence for my weigh in tomorrow, I have my monthlies too and havent been very strict this week, was feeling a bit blue as its my first period since we lost the baby in June but I havent pigged out and I normally would when I'm feeling down so hopefully wont have put anything on either. I dont have any scales at home so no fear of sneaky weigh ins before its time, Luckily weighing on friday coincides with the market and means I can get some fresh fruit and veg for cheap at the same time. Taking the kids to soft play tomorrow and I must resist the hot chocolate with cream!

  • Hi guys, not so bad I have maintained this week...which is quite good seeing as midweek I had put a pound on so at least i have shifted that. Slightly disappointed as I felt I had been really good this week.

Oh well, now to use my own words of wisdom against me, brush off, chin up, new week

Gonna slightly treat myself tonight as it is friday and my mother in law is having the boys overnight.

    How everyone else getting on?!

I only lost 1/2 lb this week. But I did indulge rather last weekend. Hoping for more this time.
Hang in there Toffee, you are doing great. Have you tried comparing your loss against 4 weeks ago? I was always told (I am a diet pro too!) that you should only weigh 4-weekly (ie at the same point in your cycle) to get a true comparison.

I am so pleased, I've lost 3 lbs this week, I cant really believe it because its been hardly any effort so far but I'm sure it'll plateau (sp) at some point and then be much harder. The biggest change I've made is I've had no white bread and in 2 weeks have only eaten one 1/2 loaf of whole meal and I used to have sandwiches everyday. I even resisted the hot chocolate at the soft play this morning and just had a coffee and only one sugar instead of 2 which I seem to have got used to quite quickly. I havent been doing as much exercise as I'd like but have been more active because I've had more energy already. This week I have to ride my bike 6 miles on monday as I have no car, so planning on swimming at some point and my dvd once as well and that should be enough.
  • Wow well done girlies!!! where are the rest of you at?!?!?! come on gloves off lets have ya!

I ate too much chinese :( oh well got a week to shift it :)
