Cheapest iPhone discussion

Going to go this route in a week to get the cashback, I will pick the unlimited internet. As a matter of interest, on the simplicity bolt on, what's unlimited wi-fi?
Also after 12 months I presume you can use the PAYG sim that came with the Iphone?
With unlimited wi-fi you can use "the cloud" which are hotspots located around the country. These are faster than GPRS or Mobile web and compliment the O2 web network, however there is not as much coverage as Mobile Web.
After 12 months you can revise your tariff situation or just keep the same one.0 -
Ah, I see. Thank you.0

I'm confused with the different options and its not clear what the best / cheapest choice is for me.
I'm on o2 already and have a Nokia. I've been out of contract a couple of months and have changed to a sim only pay monthly deal. The rest of my family are on o2, and most of my friends are too. So I prefer to get a deal that has unlimited o2 to o2 calls. I guess I make around 5 hours of calls and 200 text messages.
I'm looking at the 16gb 3gs.
Is it better for me to get a payg phone or monthly? I've been looking through the monthly tariffs online and I dont think they include unlimited o2 to o2 calls - is this correct?
Thanks in advance.0 -
hi all, going to buy iphone on payg, with that you get free internet for a year, can you tell me what is the best bolt on to get with the 02 12 month contract, the free wi-fi or the free internet? :money:0

i'm not sure if i'm the first to do this but i've found an interesting way of saving money with an iphone on PAYG.
i didn't like the sound of being locked into an 18 month contract at £35 per month so as the PAYG iphone comes with 12 months free web and wifi (the main reason for me getting the phone) i decided to pay the full whack of £440. i should have gone through a cashback website to get more money off but i was in a rush to get the new model.
anyway, i bought my phone from apple and set it up. i set my tariff to 100 free minutes (landlines and any network) and 100 free texts per month if you top up £15 per month (o2 even tells you when you need to top up next to renew the tariff). as i use my phone predominantley for web surfing, e-mail and texting (o2 offer 10 free texts a day on MY o2 online) i'm in theory crediting my phone every month with £15 and not spending it.
correct me if i'm wrong but my next plan is to get a simplicity sim (free we bolt on) after 12 months when the free web and wifi runs out on my PAYG and transfer however much credit i have left on my phone to my simplicity account. i've worked out i have the potential to raise £180 plus if i had gone through a cashback site for the phone i could have raised say £50, plus i plan to get a 12 month simplicity contract and get £100 cashback (or however much is on offer when i switch).
i'm not sure if o2 will allow me to transfer my credit and it may not work out as the cheapest option, but i'm looking forward to next year when i have in theory a 12 month contract for nothing. oh yeah, and i get the option to buy the new iphone next year if i so wish as i'm not locked into a hideous 18 month contract.
i forgot to mention that o2 have been giving me 10% extra credit when i top up using a new card (i have so far used my debit and credit card). and you get the gold band o2 suprises every time you top up by £15.0 -
after speaking to 02 customer services, the best bolt on to get is the unlimited web, although you get this with the payg sim, but however you must switch the simms around, to much hard work, so 12 month simm only deal 19.57 a month, - quidco £100.00, £9.57 a month 800 any min , 1200 texts, free web,:money: top deal!0
