  • I called Vodaphone yesterday to get my PAC number as I'm leaving them after 7 yrs on contract as I've decided to get an iphone. The guy I spoke to said Vodaphone were getting the iphone around Christmas time. Don't know prices or anything but it may be of interest to some people who don't want to leave Vodaphone. I don't particularly want to leave them, but I can't wait till Christmas!

Good on ya, if it makes you happy then thats all good. I am really looking forward to getting mine too, it will be nice having a games machine (it was voted better than the PSP & DS on Gadget show, though I know it won't match up to them on some things), Ipod and phone all in one. Plus the app store looks excellent. I've even bought a pair of retractable earphones to put on my keyring so my music is always with me!

I treated myself too! Not paying as much on my mortgage as took a tracker out at the right time. I`m doing my bit for the economy.:j
  • Ordered using the cashback link, but my application was declined due to bad credit check. :( I had no idea my credit rating was bad, I've never had problems getting phone contracts before (was a contract customer with O2 previously, and currently am with Vodafone).

Does anyone know the best way to get a (preferably free) credit check? And can I appeal to O2, or supply more information, or is it a lost cause? I was really excited and now very disappointed :(

    Many thanks in advance.

Thanks for this. I have signed up and completed my credit check, but can't see anything untoward. Everything has a green/good status. I was declined for a MNBA credit card earlier this year, and I recently moved house and haven't yet registered myself on the electoral roll here - is this likely to be the root of the problem?

Where do I go from here? Can I ring O2 and discuss this with them, or is there simply no way I can get anywhere? All seems very silly as I'm working full time, with no debts, and was a good O2 customer contract customer previously

Your best bet is to visit an O2 store, as they will do a separate credit check to the one we did and they might pass you (especially if you can tell them your previous O2 mobile number).
