interested in getting an iphone 3gs 16gb/32gb black offline. Anyone know the cheapest place to get this ?0

On Friday bought the £440 3GS from Apple store and cashback tracks at £11.48 because it doesn't include VAT.
Also bought the simplicity sim only contract but cashback only tracked at £23.33 because o2 have changed there cashback deals today. I have put in a missing earnings query but it's worth people watching out for because you may not get the £100 cashback even though it is meant to be valid until tomorrow and still shows on quidco.
Also bought the o2 payg broadband because it was meant to be free after cashback but that has now been reduced to £15 off £29 dongle. So another missing claims enquiry gone in there.
Not sure where i'll stand with cancelling the contract if they don't pay the cashback because I don't need many minutes and texts so payg would be cheaper than £19.58 a month with only £23.33 cashback.
At this point still very happy with the deal I've got and hopeful of getting the extra cashback.0 -

"After a few days your cashback account should show that the cashback's tracked, though the amount of money it shows is likely to be incorrect. That should update in due course (within a month, when it's validated), and you should be paid within 60 days."0 -

Hi
Sounds a good deal just one thing you could have done all of the above but left out the broadband deal
Instead you could jailbreak your iphone then use the cracked tether app and use the internet on your pc via your iphone in effect your using your iphone as a router for your pc this can save on extra broadband charges .

It was an independent decision. I currently have a nokia n95 that I use as a modem when I go on holiday. However, it gets very hot after a couple of hours as a modem and I wanted to keep my phone free for use as a phone. The payg broadband deal looked quite good and is meant to be free with the cashback.
Hopefully the cashback will correct itself when validated but it looks like the cashback deals are changing to £23.33 and £15 instead of £100 and £44.67 so I think they might be trying to get away with paying the new cashback rates instead.0 -
£23.33 now changed to £100 for 12 month sim, not sure if it was because I put in an enquiry or not.0

DMX2,
sorry for the late reply but I haven't been able to get on the web for a few days. I haven't seen a 3GS in the flesh but a friend said that it was much quicker than the previous two incarnations.
As for video capture... I downloaded the free app Cycorder for my jailbroken 2G iphone and it works great! If money's no object then go for the 3GS otherwise a 2G is very usable.
As you say, with an unlocked phone you could drop any sim in and use straight away. But the beauty of the sim only deal from O2 is the free unlimited web bolt on (plus the huge amount of minutes/texts!) as you will want to browse sites ad nauseum......and then the window licker said to me...0 -
I called o2 today to buy a PAYG iphone. The website lists the phone and it's price but would not let me purchace. O2 agent said that they are no longer selling on PAYG, it must be purchased with ac ontract.
He could confirm why but I assume it's due to a shortage of supply. Anyone know if it's still possible to purchase a PAYG iphone from an O2 or Carphone Warehouse shop?0 -
