Hi Folks.
Im due an upgrade on O2. Want to get an Iphone 4g.
Was offered the 16gb for £120 and then £35 a month for 24 months, 600 mins, unlimited texts and 500 mb a month.
I was wondering is this their best deal or if i threaten to switch networks could i get a better offer?
Girl on phone said that because its an iphone they cant offer me any sort of a deal despite the fact im due an upgrade?0 -
Yep i'm after a 8gb 3gs from Tesco's but they are like rocking horse poo!

Hi,
The price of the phone you've quoted is incorrect. See here http://www.three.co.uk/Phones/iPhone/Plans
The 16GB is £99 and the 32GB is £189.
I recently got the contract you mention above and I live in London. I find when the 3G coverage works it's good and very fast. It is very spotty though. I work in the city and when you are walking past large buildings it is constantly switching from 2G to 3G.
Oops, copied the wrong price over but still better than £279 at O2.]
Only thing holding me back was the network coverage but your comments have re-assured me a little especially as I'm in Birmingham.
After a little googling I noticed that when signal is low they actually default to same network as O2 so going to go for it.0 -

I called O2 retentions yesterday and said I am currently paying £35 a month for 600 mins but new contract would give me only 300 mins.
I explained that with Three I would get 32gb phone, 500 Mins, 1gb Data and only £189 (handset) £30 a month.
He was a really nice guy and said he could up my minutes to 500 with o2 but the handset would then be £279 and £35 a month. £100 more for handset and £5 a month more for 2 years is too expensive, and nice O2 man said fully understand why I want pac code at the price difference.
The Three offer finishes tomorrow so going to go for it and will let you all know how I get on and what the signal is like etc. Going to trade in my 16gb 3g phone for £154 at Mazuma, + £64 Quidco so should get 32gb phone for free and enough left over for first month too.
I think it's £99 for the 16gb handset.0 -
Is anyone having any luck buying an iphone4 from their local Tesco phone store as they are still out of stock if you ring the Tesco mobile 0800 number. They said they will take my phone number and phone me when stock is back in but how long is that going to be? Its been over a few weeks already. So I thought I might try my luck at a Tesco store (which is 16 miles away) but wondered if this is just as bad.0

I think you've misunderstood my post. When I am saying the signal is spotty, I am saying that it's not great. When it is on 3G it seems to switch between 2G and 3G very often. On 2G the internet speed is pants, but on 3G it's good. Also, the 2G service uses Orange rather than 02.0 -

You should be able to send a new MMS if it's supported by your network. Sometimes, you have to get the network to turn it on, so I'd get in touch with them. Who are you with? I'll look it up on their website for you.In the beginning, the universe was created. This made a lot of people very angry and was widely regarded as a bad move. The late, great, Douglas Adams.0
