tesco or 3 mobile. use the fact that they both have great deals on and barter with the likes of o2/orange/vodafone, if they cant at least match them, then walk away.....

everyone needs to realise that there is hardly ever a 'loyalty' bonus when it comes to iphone deals. other mobiles, then maybe, but not iphone deals.....

Can anybody confirm that quidco cashback is applicable when buying through 3 mobile? The quidco site says that it's £64 for the Internet talk 500 package but then also says that it's £64 for the iPhone Internet TEXTER 500, which is confusing as I read that as meaning it's not applicable for the talker package if getting an iPhone package.....

if anyone has bought an iphone via quidco from 3 mobile, can they let us know if the money tracked and the amount, and also what 3 mobile package you got, thanks peeps

Does anyone know if existing Vodafone customers can get the Quidco £120 cash-back deal on the IPhone Sim only deal?

As if possible would be a good bet if the same £15 per month can be achieved in year 2 as you could get 3% cashback from apple on the phone itself dramatically reducing the overall 24month bill? I would make it all in 16gb model @£844 versus same deal from Vodafone £959 (£35 per month tariff + £119 for phone)

Stick on a long term 0% interest free CC and happy days.

Does this look correct?

Iphone 4 at Tesco is (16GB) £ 340 plus £240 (150 mins) for the contract. Thats £589 over the year. To make the comparision fair over various contract lengths we need to workout a monthly fee, and thats £49 a month.

Vodafone it's £219 for the phone and £25 a month for the 75 minute plan. That works out at £34.13 Per month over the 24 months.

On Three it's £99 for the phone, plus £30 a month for 24 months, making that 34.13 PCM for the 2 years, Exactly the same as Vodafone if you look at it as a per month outgoing.


On a 600 minute plan it's £54 on Tesco vs £37 on Vodatone

Your actually paying a hefty premium per month to get the 12 month contract.

And as been posted you can't takie this and then go back to your provider, they simply are not interested and will not haggle.

tesco - 16gb iphone 4= £349+(£20pm x 12 month contract)= £589 which is what you said but the minutes are actually 250.
HOWEVER-
that is your contract done and dusted after 12 months and you can now get an o2 simplicity tariff or a cheap sim only tariff for around £15pm maximum. so if you work out your monthly calculations over 24 months rather than 12 then by using tesco initially and then a cheap sim only contract (say £15 at the most) for the 2nd year then your total over 24 months is gonna be £769 which divided over 24 months works out at £32.04pm.:money:

which is a lot cheaper than your suggestion and also after 12 months you wont have a contract hanging over you, which means that you are free of the ball and chain and able to get the iphone 5 next year lol :beer:

Yea sorry not sure where I got the 75 from.

But if you intend to get an iPhone 5 then you would not be getting the cheaper 12 month contract, so the 2nd year that drives the cost down won't happen so it will remain a higher option. You may be able to Ebay the iPhone 4 to cover som of the cost of buying the 5 but that an unknown until you come to do the sale next year.

My point was that there is very little competition on the iPhone, Even if you look at the revised monthly cost there is only a few quid in it a month between all providers on most new / high end phones.

Either all operators have tiny margins (which may be true) or theres no competition in the market and the providers are charging what the market can bear not what they think is competitive.

not in my case my iphone fell out my pocket it just worked out well but you have ride life style group and tell em whos boss to get anywhere with them. Its not fraud its accidental damage.

If someone does it deliberately it is fraud.

Out of interest anyone had trouble with iPhone 4 glass shattering after falls. 2 folk on our football forum have had it shatter after light falls. Apple have replaced both without the £139 charge however.
