As far as i Know, O2 do not discount the Iphone 4, the best you could hope for would be free 02 to 02 calls added to your account or something like that.
They obviously think that any customers they lose through this policy will be negligible. Personally, I think it's shortsighted given that there is plenty of competition out there these days.If I've helped you please show your appreciation by using the "Thanks" button

If all of their 20 million customers had iphones the whole thing would collapse. I really don't think they are too worried about losing a few customers, or even a few million customers for that matter. They are already the most expensive network these days. The tariffs are nowhere near as competitive as the other networks.0 -
If it's any help a guy I work with was given very bad customer service by the local shop, so much so that he said he would buy out his contract (and he was serious). They asked him what they had to do to get him to stay and he got an iPhone for free out of them. It wasn't an iPhone 4 but for those of you wanting a cheap one you may want to try this with your network.0

O2's customer service over the phone is great however in-store its usually terrible. The two stores in Bluewater (Kent) are so busy its impossible to speak to anyone. I previously went in when the World Cup was on (as it would be quiet) and virtually had to prise a staff member away from the TV.
If the comments on the forums are anything to go by I suspect O2 will (rightfully) lose a lot of existing customers. It's very short sighted indeed as acquiring new customers is both expensive and time consuming.0 -
Anyone know the situation with quidco on 3, only mentions The one plan which is £40 a month?0

I think I might go with tesco when they get some phones in stock.
Thinking about the £349 iphone4 on a £20pm contract as it has pletny of mins etc. for me.Squish0 -
Finally decided to go with Vodafone as there's a £40 cashback via Quidco. Spoke with Voda over the phone and was informed it would be approx 2 weeks delivery. Then I spoke with Voda Business and they could deliver next day so the previous order was transferred.
Funny thing is - two are due to be delivered (by mistake) its like buses !!0 -

Okay, my calculations for this are probably an epic fail but here we go:
iPhone 4 on Tesco:
£429 + (12 * 20) = £669
iPhone 4 PAYG then GiffGaff:
£499 + (12 * 10) - £619
So for a small user like me, who would like unlimited texts, internet and just a few minutes (100 should be fine) am I right in thinking that's a better option?
My main problem is ideally I need a phone like *now* and the wait on the Apple site is 3 weeks, hmm.0 -
Tesco 16GB is £349, so total is £5890
