Same here, I've already asked for my PAC code and signed up on O2 website to register my interest in iphone 4

And o2 is the only mobile operator that lists iphone4 on their website.

I think o2 has got better options when it comes to iphone.

O2 Early Upgrade Offer for Pay Monthly & Business customers

We know that some of you would love to get the new iPhone 4 but may not be eligible for an upgrade right now. So for a limited time, we have a very special offer for you.

    Here's the offer:

Instead of paying off your remaining contract in full, simply pay a one-off charge equal to £20 for each full month left on your contract. This reduced cost offer cannot be combined with any early upgrade eligibility you may have as part of O2 Priority List.

If you don't already know your contract renewal date you will be able to find it out from mid-day on Thursday 10 June by texting DATE to 21302.

As a Pay Monthly customer you can pay for your Early Upgrade Charge with a Debit or Credit card, Businesses will be able to add this charge to their O2 bill.

You can get money for your old phone by trading it in with O2 Recycle.

A few rules before you can take advantage of the offer. You have to:
    Have paid your Early Upgrade Offer charge;
Sign up for a new 18 or 24 month minimum term Pay Monthly or 24 month Business airtime contract with O2 with an iPhone at the normal price for that phone and on our iPhone tariffs; and
Agree that you won't have a change of mind period and won't be able to go back to your old tariff.

    iPhone 4 tariffs here:

    http://shop.o2.co.uk/new-iphone/tariffs.html

Just all depends on the handset costs now.

o2 are also buying the old iPhones off customers, £143 for a 8gig 3G which not that bad really...

Thanks Aldo, just got a text from O2 confirming this.

Getting a latest model is new to me as I've always purchased a lower spec one, so if anyone can help I'd appreciate it.

My 18m contract has ended earlier this month with O2, therefore if I want the iphone 4 with 02 on 300mins over 18m (showing as £35.00pm on the above link) will I have to pay cost price of the iphone on top of that?

How would I get the iphone 4 for free (obviously I'm threatening to leave 02) is there any way I can work out how much it would cost per month right now on the same tarriff?

    Thanks

It's very unlikely you would get the phone for free on the £35 a month option, in fact impossible!
However if you chose a more expensive tariff then you could possible get a phone for free.

Thanks aldo, I realise that i won't get it for free on the cheaper tariff. I may now opt for the 3GS 16gb and see what deals I can get. I think the 4G may work out too expensive.
  • I'm very interested to see what tariffs are available on three. Think I might be leaving O2 after 12 years...
