A mate is selling his iphone 3g and i quite fancy replacing my touch with it.
i am currently on 02 via CPW and 14 months into an 18 month 100% cashback deal.
i believe i could stick this sim card in an iphone but the internet would not work, texts and calls would.
elsewise, i keep existing phone to use for texts/calls and just use new iphone for an upgraded touch, but with the added advantage that i can use the interent when not in wifi area (at home or in macd)
there seems to be debate about whether i can get an 02 sim only + web bolt on (£7.50 a month) or i need an iphone simplicity deal - at £15. isn't wifi always free when in macd? it works for free on the touch?

I am currently with Vodafone and will be buying the iPhone 4 when it is released. There is no way I'll be sticking with them, I'm transferring to O2.
:j I'm planning to do the same, will buy the phone and take 12 months simplicity tariff. Any clue what is O2 like (have always been on Vf.) especially for data and roaming (Europe)?0 -

How is a iPhone 3G an upgrade on the Touch? Is the iPhone unlocked or on O2?Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0 -
Whats the cheapest deal on an iphone (older model) on O2.
I love the screen & size & touch button, but don't need any fancy features.
Also my DD says you can get an app that iphones can message each other for free (thinking holidays here).0 -
I can get a 100 mins for £25 pm on an old recon iphone from O2.
Seems good to me?0 -
I have been an O2 (Via CarPhoneWhouse) customer for many years and called last week to upgrade to i-phone from a SIM only cashback deal whick I am currently am on. The joker from CPW quoted me £45 per month and harped on about being able to downgrade a fiver a month after 9months like it was magic. After hanging up unimpressed I received a call after a few days to discuss other options and other smartphones - not interested. She said she would call me back after 4G is out as I said i was waiting for price drop.
If anyone else has experience in getting cheap refurbished 3GS in last week/coming weeks plz post as want to make sure good deal. I plan on calling back in next few days to blag them (via disconnection team) and will let u know how get on.0 -

Same here, I've already asked for my PAC code and signed up on O2 website to register my interest in iphone 4
And o2 is the only mobile operator that lists iphone4 on their website.
I think o2 has got better options when it comes to iphone.0 -

the internet would work, but would charge you per MB you use. You should be able to add some sort of data bundle to your account to cover usage.====0 -

thanks, thats what i hoped would be the case. or just change settings. then can add a data bundle when i know it worked (£7.50 i think)
suppose i need to try it out with my sim in mates phone, see if that works, before buying.0 -
Hi all,
I was on a rolling sim only contract with 02 for £15pm, I called them to ask when my contract was up as I was thinking of getting an iphone with Tesco. They immediately tried to do me a deal which resulted in my agreeing to pay £195 for a 16gb 3GS for 24m @£25pm with 300 mins, unlimited texts and internet...
However that was on Sunday then I heard about the potential price drop in the 3GS what with the new iphone 4 so now I don't know what to do! I am still in my cooling off period (14days, although not sure the conditions of this) so I guess I could just send it back and wait. Or is it worth ringing 02 and asking if they will improve the deal or I will send it back and wait for the price drop/get the new phone for the same price?
Any ideas/experience would be useful!
Thanks0
