First time poster and user of this site so be gently folks
I am looking for an I phone - I am out of contract at the end of this month (non I phone contract) with 02 and would rather stay with them as I live in an area where other providers like Orange don't get a good signal.
I rarely phone / text as have a work phone - but do use some mins/text obviously, but spend a lot of time on net via a PC and would like to do this whilst watching kids swimming etc, to save time - hence the I phone
Is it worth holding out for the new phone do you think or will there not be a huge amount of offers. Am a numpty when it comes to this so any advice welcome0 -
Hello everyone,
I've been following this discussion for a while, but this is my very first post!
I've been with 02 for some years now, and have been waiting for my contract to finish on 12th June.
Since following this discussion, you all kindly taught me about refurb 3gs iphones, and after reading a couple of days ago that the refurb's were back in stock I decided to give retentions a try!
I was told that as I was now in my last month of my contract I could upgrade now, and I was offered a free refurb iphone 16gb 3gs, with 300mins, unlimited texts and unlimited internet for £28 per month for 18 months. Free delivery on Monday! Which I was more than happy with! :j
I Just wanted to say a BIG THANKYOU to all who have posted previously on here, as it helped me to know what kind of deal to ask for! In fact, we were so impressed that my husband phoned up as well and got the exact same deal! (he was on a simplicity tariff with o2 since 2007)
So hopefully they will both be ok on Monday! I will let you all know!0 -

If you are an o2 contract customer and out of contract you can get them by dialling 202 on your o2 phone.
If you are a non o2 customer, go to o2.co.uk, click iphone and "new to o2" then one of the drop down menu's has "reconditioned 3GS" select the option and then tariffs are below.

I wanted to get myself an iphone, but by going through the forum posts I think O2 has got the best deals.
Anyways I decided to try my luck with vf called the upgrade line, but the start price is £35 and phone price £89. Anything below £35 is silly 100 minutes and stuff what a joke plus 150+ for the phone.
But I decieded to hold off until the 4gs comes out, on 7th June apple is going to announce it and it could be out within 10 to 30days.
The only problem was that my current contract expired last month and coz I was on a half price deal for almost the entire term of the contract, VF upped my tariff to the full price of £40 from the beginning of this month.
It makes sense to downgrade until 4g gets released, called cancellation and they offerd me virtually the same deal SIM only for £17:50 but instead of a monthly rolling they advised me to sign up for a 12 months deal and advised me to buy the phone by paying the full price. According to them thats the cheapest way to get the iphone - assuming the price of the 16g or similar 4g for around £500.
Does that makes sense? or not I'm a bit puzzled, the contract they offerd me comes with unltd internet and 700mins with unltd landline and unltd vf to vf. I know the iphone unltd internet comes with 1gb fair usage and this one is only good upto 500mb.
Please advise.0
