The downside is that I lose my 4 for 1 texting abroad, which is a nuisance, but I'll just have to look at local or international sims and/or use my laptop for free texts and skype calls (unless anyone has any other tips for cheap calls/texts abroad?)

    Thanks again!
Is this just for your package or everyones on the iphone?

This could be a problem for me as would love the phone but I go abroad with work several times a month and rely on this at the moment.

    Hi
Question for the people who have just got a refub iphone is your monthly bill inc insurance or not?

Also I'm sorry if this is a silly question but what exactly is a refub phone? thank you!

No, the monthly bill doesn't include insurance. I'm sure I've heard o2 are looking for £15 per month for iphone insurance. Someone else might be able to confirm this.

A refurb phone is one that has been returned. They are then fully tested and re-packaged before being sent back out.

    Hope this helps. :)

I can confirm this! When I eventually got my 3GS a few weeks ago, the advisor at o2 said I would need to take out specialist iPhone insurance (as their standard £7.50 a month insurance doesn't cover iPhones) which is £15 a month. The advisor herself admitted it was a rip-off and suggested I put it on my contents/home insurance - which I have done for approx £30 for the year. :j
