I rang 3 today to get my PAC code as I have got one of the O2 sims on offer. However when I said I was leaving they offered me an IPhone. It is the 16gb 3GS £25.00 per month for 700 minutes talk or text and unlimited internet, wifi, e-mails etc. Phone is £99.00 and contract is 24 months. Does that sound good?
other than the 24 month contract, looks like a good deal.
Only you can decide if you want to be under contract for so long.====0 -
Hi just to make you aware apple are today the 8th april releasing details on there new iPhone and when it will be available!!! should be sooner rather than later. Just thought I would mention it, if you were looking at taking 18-24month contracts on the 3gs might be worth waiting!!!
Thanks Andy
Sorry if this has already been mentioned.0 -
Hi just to make you aware apple are today the 8th april releasing details on there new iPhone and when it will be available!!! .
Not a chance :rotfl: they do that at WWDC in June.
They are giving a sneak preview of the 4.0 iphone software update (3.1.3 is the latest at the mo) rumours of multi-tasking and direct printing support blah blah blah.
They will not release any info about a new iphone lolHardcore moneysaver0 -
Haha yeah you are right I came home late last after having a few!!! I read my emails and got all excited lol, I have just reread and you are correct it is 4.0os only. That'll teach me to jump to conclusions lol.
I shall now crawl back under my little rock sorry!!!0 -
24month contract
Always got the option to upgrade to 3gs and very helpful lady said that 'if and when' apple bring out a new iphone then 3gs will be an ugrade option to current 3g owners.
Im happy with what I have got Tesco would have worked out more expensive over 12 months personally for me.
It all depends on which person answers your call at o2! :j
3GS will be available as an an upgrade for 3G owners nearing the end of their 24 month contract, not when they are only six months in!Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0 -
Sorry to hijack this thread, put I want to get rid of an Iphone, 3g, 8GB on O2 network.Striving to clear the mortgage before it finishes in Dec 2028 - amount currently owed - £24,616.090

After reading all the details of the upgrade due in the summer, I`m wondering if it`s worth buying a 3gs now as it`ll be capable of having all the updates or wait until the new one comes out. I`m thinking the new one will be more expensive. I have the 3g at the moment and my contract ends in July.0

a point to remember is that Apple have confirmed that the OS4.0 will be fully compatible with the iPhone 3GS but only partially compatible with the 3G.

whatever the next model is called, it will definitely be more expensive.====0 -
Hi all,
I have noticed a few posts with people asking about Tesco FUP on iPhone.
It is 1terabyte.......yes that is 1tb per month!
Also if you purchase an iPhone from Tesco they will need to 'debrick' the device which involves plugging it into iTunes but doesnt require you to set up an iTunes account onto a Tesco PC unless you want to.

Hi,
Can pls someone tell me if they had they Iphone unlocked and how much did they pay?
My local phone shop says they cannot unlock the 3.1.0 software version (or something like that) yet.
I am looking at the Tesco 3G 8Gb PAYG phone, any idea what software does that have (not mentioned on their website)?
Also someone else told me that you can just pay £25 top up and they will then unblock it for you... but Tesco website says they will only do it after 12 mths.. Have I missed something?0
