haha, yes we could save up now louisa and afford to buy a 4g!!!!!

    I know....tell me about it!

Nah I'm a student so i wouldn't be able to afford the new iphone 4g.When the iphones first came out, i couldn't afford them and i've had to wait 3 years until the prices have came down!!! -Though i do agree with the comments that the 3gs will be reduced when the 4g comes out but i am impatient and i've been waiting long enough. If we have to wait like 6 weeks or something i'll be demanding a better deal as i'll have 3 weeks left on my contract by that point.

The last time it took a few weeks to come in and 2 days to sell out. Then they came back in a week later and sold out in 2 days and now its been a week so im hoping 1 more week should do it?WISHFUL THINKING?

Hello All, Just a quick thankyou to everyone on this thread , has kept me sane in my countless calls to O2 trying to get a good deal.
I gave up waiting for refurbs and now in my last 30 days the last offer i got (and accepted) was :
£ 45 pm contract, 24 months , free 32gb 3gs. However i am know kicking myself at folding like a bit of tissue paper as soon as they said the words "free 32gb"
So after all of my battles i am considering returning it anyway , or telling them i now want 18 months and see what the response is. Unfortunately the blood rushed to my head and in the excitement i just couldnt say no .............whoops

    Matt

its exactly because of long term 'deals' like this i loathe contracts. I have had a simplicity sim only for past 2 years and 'upgrade' my phone whenever takes my fancy. I bought the iphone on PAYG and couldnt be happier in the knowledge i am not tied into any contract. The initial outlay is much more the way I've done it, but in the long term it costs less and is less hassle as you are not tied in to any contract.
  • just incase you havent noticed, the refurbished iphones seem to be showing up on upgrades online o2, well the 8gb one is anyway...

so I dont know if the 16gb 3gs will when they come in.. if they do they will go out even quicker.

I spoke to somebody this morning and was offered a free 16g 3g, 600 minutes, unlimited texts, data and wifi for £30 a month over 18 months.
May have got a slightly better deal if i'd have haggled but im happy enough.
Ideally wanted a 3gs but as i've never used one i wont be able to tell the difference.
Roll on monday when it comes!

Good luck with the waiting then!
I've had a go with my mate's 3g and it was more than quick enough for what i'd use it for, and as i've only got a Tocco Lite at the moment im sure it'll be quicker than that!
