I also used a splitter. Tesco sells a 1:3 scart splitter for around £3. Same brand as the Video Sender, comes in a bubble pack. Basically 3 scart sockets on a brick with a scart lead attached to it to plug in to your sky box or whatever.

    Does the job!

I managed to get 2 today from a Tesco Extra near me :)
They had about 5 when i first looked at them but within about 10 mins there were only 2 left.
I've got 1 for my sister and if any of you guys want the other pm me.
I've asked at the post office and special delivery would be about 7 quid.
If no one wants it I'll just take it back.
    :)

I have been visiting my local (Whitstable) Tesco's daily to try and get hold of these, got lucky today ;D

They had 4 on the shelf and no price as they just came in, bagged a couple while they were still hot!

Still had a couple there when I left if anyones interested.

Tried one when I got home and with the sender within 3ft of my wireless network and the receiver upstairs I got a real nice picture so I'm happy too.

Thanks to the op for the heads up :)
All Dell'd up ;) several times over :)

If anybody is interested Tesco at Bursledon (between Southampton and Portsmouth) have some on the shelf. I bought one this morning and there were 2 left. There may be others in the back room. Price £27.92 ;D
  • still havent managed to get the sky remote to work on mine - everything else is fine - picture and sound are great. have checked everything over and the remote is still making a bleeping noise but no channel change unforunately.

Anyone got any other suggestions (except running up and down the stairs of course - though god knows i could do with the exercise!!)

    I had the same problem.

Picture was perfect etc. but the remote wouldn't work, just bleep.

I managed to work it out though by process of elimination. i.e. the iR extender cable you get is meant to cover the iR receiver on the source unit.

With my Sky digibox (panasonic version in silver - dunno the code) there is a strip of darkened 'glass' on the front with labels accross the horizontal.

Now, one part of this 'strip' is labelled with 'Remote', so logically I put the iR dongle to cover this, to no joy.

Hmm, so I gradually placed the dongle all accross this strip, until bingo! It worked!

So it will work! Keep trying!
  • Hey
Bought one of these today at Tesco Extra, Weston Favell, Northampton - had lots on the shelf but had to ask where they were as not in an obvious place. Haven't even attempted to set it up yet - will wait till my technically minded son gets home! ???

Thanks to everyone for this, it was a piece of great inspiration for my bf's Christmas (I'd planned on buying him a Freeview box but he bought it for himself).

Got one tonight at Dundee, and yes they are in a weird place. Had to ask an assistant, confused me as they were not with freeviewboxes, TVs etc. They were with hair straightners earphones and shavers.

(also got another pressie with the 20% of all clothes, yay)

The Bury store had some in stock today..

One question, it will work on another tv that isn't connected to the main aerial won't it?

Not very technical here I'm afraid!
