Tesco's Av Sender £27.92

Which Tescos in and around Manchester have these. I've been to two, one superstore (not extra) and a smaller store. Am I too late?

Got one from Tesco Extra in Baguley. Well pleased. They had about 8, well the shelf space for them were full. Thanks original poster for pointing these out.  :)

help please......it's not changing the channel any more. it did when I first set it up.

I do not have the 'blue' remote for my ntl box but probably the older dark version which also means that I have either series 1000 or 2000 of the Pace ntl box - in other words these senders won't work for me......but could I therefore get ntl to swap my old one for a series 4000 with the 'blue' remote? Or does it have to be damaged first? I've had cable for donkeys years, back when it was Nynex and the set top box has never ever had a problem so I can't see ntl taking back a working piece of equipment.

I bought one of these last week after reading the original thread, I also have a 'old' style ntl box the picture on my portable in the kitchen is perfect but unfortunately cannot change channels.

however on the back of the cable box there is a spare jack called 'IR sender in' which is basically for people who have the TV and box in different rooms, that means there must be a product available that will allow me to have the AV sender in the kitchen and change channels in the kitchen with my old style box, your mission should you choose to accept it is find one of these for us unfortunates, good luck (would try asking NTL but the words bob and no spring to mind)

Were I to buy this AV Sender (or any other for that matter), could I watch terrestrial TV on the main TV(sender) and Sky on the portable(receiver) at the same time?

i.e. Me watching the Sky footy on the portable, while my gf watches eastenders on the main TV

Anyone know the answe to this, please?

Are you sure you are selecting the correct input on your TV's remote?  If you plug say a Gamecube or PS2 into the SCART and find the picture then swap to the Videosender its picture should be there instead!
Try looking for 0, AV1, AV2 or similar.  :)

hi, i plugged the ps2 in and it worked ok, then plugged in reciever again and nothing, plugged it back into video scart and thats the only way i can get it to work on my dvd combi.
its got me any other ideas.

Do you think i should get in touch with Tesco's and tell them that they have been selling quite a few of these senders because of me. Prehaps they may give me a bit of comission. What do you think. ;D ;D ;D

Bought the Medion one from Dabs.com as mentioned earlier in the thread. Works brilliantly.
