hi,
i got one of these tesco av senders on sat.
i hooked it up 2 sky digi box and another tv in a different room. the picture/sound is sent to the other tv but i can not seem to control the sky digi box using the remote from the other tv.
i have tried various set ups with them not working
any ideas as to why i can not use my sky remote?
any help given is appreciated
thanks0 -
I had problems with mine too when I first got it. It work and then later on it didn't. Make sure the sensor is over the sky sensor.... I kept "playing" around with it. Till I moved the transmitter away from the tv stand, which had the dvd player, maybe unrelated but it works now. It's on a table nest to tv? but it does the trick, I was getting fustrated when it wasn't working I almost phoned the helpl ine no to complain.0

On another thread Benu has discovered an AV sender from Dixons at £14.97. I have gone to Currys and seen a similar product selling for £19.99. Check for picture and spec at http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3854917195 Does this do the same job as the Tesco version. If it does then why pay a premium to Tesco. I still have my Tesco Av sender boxed up unused. If, effectively, the Av sender at either £14.97 or £19.99 would do the same job then Tescos Av goes back to Tesco. If there are good reasons why I should keep it then please advise.Do you make things happen, watch things happen, or just wonder, what happened?0

I picked one up today, but can't get it to work
The Receiver light on the unit just flashes on and off. I've tried bringing the TV from upstairs downstairs into the lounge, have tried connecting both my Sky+ box and camcorder to the sender and the TV doesn't get a signal at all. I've turned off my wireless network and the microwave to rule out those. Any body help??? Really frustrated ???

Make sure that you have used the correct scart lead, it tells you on the scart lead whether its for the receiver or transmitter.0

The main thing that gets people on this is to make sure that the little switch on the bottom of both units is set to the same one.
It can be a bit fiddly to be actually sure which one it is set on, but the receiver unit will blink its light according the channel it is set to. So two blinks equals channel 2 and so on.
This means that you can then fiddle the sender unit to see if that sorts it.
The other issue is that occasionally some videos that have 2 scarts on them sometimes only put an out on one and an in on the other.
Also, I have found that if you are connecting to a scart multiplier box, some of them (normally the more expensive ones, annoyingly) don't transmit the signal.
Don't know if this will help! ???0 -
Does anybody know if these boxes work with telewest receivers - I've got an older analogue telewest box0
-
I do not know anything about a Telewest analogue box however these AV senders should transmit a sound and a picture from your cable box, a video tape/ dvd recorder or your TV if you have a scart connector capable of sending a signal out. Your telewest box would almost certainly have one of these but perhaps it is alread in use. You can use a scart doubler as work round this limitation. Otherwise normally a TV or Video recorder with 2 or more scarts would have at least one of these. Just plug in the AV sender's connection into a spare scart on the TV or Video and so long as it is tuned to the channel for viewing Telewest, it should transmit a picture and sound.Do you make things happen, watch things happen, or just wonder, what happened?0
