  • To get it working with a Pace Digibox......
Plug the little "Remote Extender"  into the back of the transmitter and place one of the little "eyes" over the remote sensor on the Digibox.
    All should then be ok.
The little eye needs to see the sensor for the remote to work.

tried this last night, with all 3 eyes over the sensor too..

No joy whatsoever, have a ntl pace box and about 4 diff types of remote, none of them are happy trying to turn the channel over upstairs on the recieving tv..

Can watch and go down to turn over but would much prefer having to get out of bed everytime I wanna flick channels..

    any other ideas.. ??

That's properly due to your remotes using irda that is incompatible with the remote sensor.. Not a lot can be done about that than change your remote to a ir one
  • I've got the same problem as Rubiq - NTL pace box, tried the 'eye' thingy, just won't work upstairs with the remote, I've also got the new style and old style NTL remotes
    bum :(
  • Please forgive the lack of techy here but I am really useless at this sort of thing and need help.
I havent been able to find one of these at Tesco and I really would like sky in an upstairs bedroom feeding off tv downstairs. I am aware usually that u have to run co-ax cable to do this and wondered do these things (AV Senders) need to use co ax or do they work without wire
Reason I ask is I cannot put the wire round and need something that is wireless. If this is so , can anyone recommend where I can buy one at best price and should i wait til after xmas
Couple of other points, I bought a thing from Argos on the sale thread which is a 4 room Sky thing but sure this is a co-ax cable job
Also while I am on a roll! I want to get broadband and my daughter bedroom and my office are on different floors how can I get us both able to access without wires. I know this is a different topic but in reality I think it is the same thing really!
  • AV senders are completely wireless Steve - they look a bit like an answering machine, not very big. You have to put one in each room you want to send/receive from and they need a power socket.

    Hope this helps

  • I've got one of these av senders from Tesco's surplus to requirements (don't you just love it when people go on a spending spree for themselves in the run up to Christmas and buy what you've already bought them?)

Anyone want it a cost + P&P (about £7 special delivery) and can pay by paypal / postal order / bank xfer, drop me a PM.

  • Just got one of these - trying to get it to work with a Sky+ box - it worked ok on pictures and could control Sky+ box - but only at 2x fast forward. :-/ Now the remote wouldn't work at all - are these tempramental ? Last point - should it be able to control all the functions of a Sky+ box - at least the fast forwards and rewinds functions ?

I have just bought the Giga 2323 from Currys, plugged it in and didnt get a picture on 2nd tv. I am not sure where to position the IR mouse type thing. It says point it at the sensor but where is the sensor and what does it look like? I have tried plugging into back of both Sky receiver and video but no picture.

I have also checked all cables, channels etc, so I am obviously not pointing the transmitter IR at the right thing - but where is it?

    Help a total technophobe please.

    Lolly
