After 3 days of trying to update them with the change I gave up and called the number for people abroad. It was answers in 30 seconds. The bloke asked me which country I was calling from. I told him UK he started trying to end the call but when I explained the problems I'd had and the fact they were now probably overpaying me he conceeded that he would take the call. Like others I don't like having to 'jump the que' but when you work virtually full time and are on a limited budget it's really not possible to spend hours sat by a phone hitting redial every two minutes.0

I've managed to get through after 15mins on hold on the normal number. However my claim is still sat in head office awaiting award. Been ringing all week as they asked, and NOTHING as of yet, WOO stopped counting the week's I've had no payments now. And my kids go back to school next week. All she said was to keep ringing back and my reply " Oh yes of course as it's my BT bill will you be paying it when it finally arrive's because I won't be able too!" :mad:0

I got told off for ringing this number but the man still tried to help me the other day, sadly he can't do much as the claim is all set but no one in head office has put forward the award,so weeks in and still waiting, and ringing (like they keep telling me to do so). I am soo fed up right now. :mad:0

Just got through really quickly on the 01355 359007 number. I was told it was the wrong number but they would deal with me on this occassion. My number would be logged and they wouldn't answer it in future.
So I'm sorted for now. Thank Folks
PS. for alternative numbers to other 0845's I find http://www.saynoto0870.com really useful.0 -
I had been using this number up until earlier this year 01355 35900 from the 0870 site...
Last time i used it i got a big lecture how it was for overseas customers only and not to use it in future. It was only a couple of months later that i found out that as "punishment" they hadn't processed my changes casuing another mess to deal with...
So be warned if you use that number they may not record any changes etc....
We had big problems with them thsi year and i posted about not being able to get through... They also sent us a bill for over £1000 as one of their customer service agents had put a date in incorrectly....Needless to say the panic set in when we got that....We got it cleared up but it did make me wonder how many other people would have jsut paid up or carried on paying the supposed overpayment...0 -
A note on why it might be difficult getting through at the moment:
I was asked lots of probing security questions and then had to set up security Q and A's for the future. This probably doubled the time I was on for.
Anyone else had the same?0 -

(Shall I say it again? :P)
This number worked first time to a real person with no waiting and no "Sorry we're busy call back later"
Why on earth does HMRC not even have a queueing system, it seems if they're busy - tough, call back later!Global Test Market: 10,506 points0
