  • Morning all and a big welcome to the latest newcomers:wave:

Just weighed in and I've STS. Quite pleased with that, was a bit worried last week's stuffathon and a couple of not so good days this week would catch up with me. Luckily they havent.......mustn't get complacent though!!

Will be busy clearing up after decorating this morning so that'll stop me nibbling. No idea of meals yet apart from brekkie in a min.... hardly been in the kitchen all weekend so not even sure what's in! I'll pop back later when I'm more organised. Have a good day everyone!

Hi, can I join too. I've lost 2 stone over the past couple of years, but can't afford slimming club anymore, so I thought I would check in with you. I would like to lose about 10lb, so I can get comfortably into a size 12 for my big day next July. I don't want to buy my dress until I'm a 12, so its good incentive for me to get going.

    Morning all,

Up early this morning as DD4 off to start her first day of teaching practice for her diploma, so wanted to see her off...nervous as a kitten but she will be fine, back in her old school after eight years, so at least none of the students will remember her as a pupil!

Welcome to BabyMother, Oooops & Narabanekeater...this is the place to be.

Have had porridge with raisins, honey and milk, fancied it to-day, will have an apple and a pint of water in a minute.
Lunch will be some of yesterday's leftover tagliatelle with a salad:
Dinner is roast chicken, roast veggies and potatoes

    Have a good day everybody

    J
ust having a quick sit down after eating a latish breakfast, then have to tackle my list before picking up a friend, who is spending the day with us.

Welcome to BabyMother, Oooops, Narabanekeater and Earthstrong

Yesterday I was reasonably good, although I think I was feeling a bit off colour so didn't really want much to e
at anyway. But I had over the course of the day I had :-
    • Breakfast - Two slices of homemade bread with cherry jam, two cups of tea with sweetner.
    • Snack - Two Mr Kipling almond slices and cup of tea.
    • Lunch - One medium sized roll with two cold sausages and mustard, two cups of tea with sweener.
    • Snack - Cup of tea with homemade cherry oat biscuit.
    • Dinner - 4 egg omelette with cheese, cinammon bagel and two cups of tea.
    • Supper - Cup of tea and homemade cherry oat biscuit.
Today the plan is as follows:
    • Breakfast - One bagel and two cups of tea.
    • Snack - Cup of tea with Mr Kipling country slice
    • Lunch - Homemade fish pie with peas and runner beans, two cups of tea
    • Snack - Cup of tea with homemade cherry biscuit.
    • Dinner - One ham roll with lettuce, tomatoes, cucumber and salad cream, and two cups of tea.
    • Supper - Cup of milky drink.
Think that should do me, have already had breakfast.

Now off to tackle the rest of the tidying/cleaning before I go out at 11.45am.

  • I think my biggest problem is wine :( OH could drink for england so often find self sharing 1 or 2 bottles at weekends or before days off :(
Could really do with advice to help us stop this (if I mention we drinking too much he gets defensive though...) and I do like a wee drink so don't want to quit completely. I would be happy with a glass or two on a weeknight but he needs more-any advice:confused:

It's my weak point too, Hotcookie. I've taken to having a bottle of water on the table and alternating a glass of water and a glass of wine. That not only reduces the aftereffects, but it also forces you to drink less wine - you can present that logic however you want! Does make you get up in the night, though.:o

Weight-wise, dry wine isn't too bad - about 90-100 calories a glass - which is roughly the same as a tumbler of orange juice. I normally have wine instead of a dessert, which controls the weight issue fairly well. It's the damage to my liver I'm more concerned about.

Also, we've laid down a house rule that we don't normally drink on weeknights (except Friday). If you're not careful, you can still be over the limit driving in the morning - and once you've had one glass, more do seem to follow. The rule gets broken sometimes, but not every night!;)
If we are supposed to be thin, why does chocolate exist?

Morning all and welcome new :hello: joiners! Well I made the mistake of weighing myself today even though tues is my WI...and:o . Feeling annoyed with myself and then also looked at my alcohol intake of about 30 units last week:eek: ,so I shouldn't be surprised. I have kind of thought that my target of 10 st 7lbs is too ambitious, and am wondering whether to settle for 12 stone ,size 16-that's a bit lighter than I was at xmas last year and I felt pretty good.

    Anyhoo! B- porridge
    L-cheese &pickle sandwich,large HM cookie
D -pasta with roast veg and half fat creme fraiche mixed thru'
Catch up later after work
