    Just had sweet potato stew and couscous for tea :drool: very tasty it was too!
    I'll try to avoid the toad tonight and just have fruit jelly and yoghurt if I feel the need.
    I've done 10,000 steps already today:j so all gone to plan so far, apart from the brekkie incident :mad: hopefully my soaked oats should still be ok tomorrow morning as it's been in the fridge??

    Off to the docs first thing for my blood pressure check :eek: with everything that's been going on it must be through the roof!!
  • Well done to all the latest losers, keep it up!:T

    slm, everyone weighs on whatever day suits them best. I do Monday because I tend to eat less (and more healthily!) over the weekend. Lots of other peeps seem to prefer a Friday..... leaves time to make amends after overindulging at weekends:p So choose the day when you think you're going to be at your lightest and stick to it.

    To illustrate my point.... I've been positively saintly all weekend, get back to work this morning and what should appear but a large tray of turkish delight along with a box of assorted nouget. Let's just say the bag of grapes I took in to nibble on are still in my drawer, untouched....:o :D

    I sat and ate quite a lot whilst watching TV last night. Mind you it was mostly fruit and rice crackers so perhaps not too calorific.
    Picked some blackberries from the garden and had them with some low fat yoghurt.
    Whilst I don't post everyday I do read most posts daily and I find it a great inspiration to know such a lovely lot of losers.

    Evening all,

    Not so good to-day, did a small bit of weeding in herb garden , cooked dinner, shopped and ate!

    Breakfast was 1 weetabix and raisins, no bananas left;

    Lunch was pasta with a pear;

    Dinner was salmon with steamed potatoes (with butter!), roast veggies and two more helpings of rhubarb crumble....at least its all gone now.

    Bigsmoke, I agree about the drink...I had some wine on Friday night and put on 5 lbs overnight....took 3 days for it to go which is very discouraging...I think that I do better if I avoid bread it seems to bloat me.

    Sleep well all

  • Hi all,
    Not a bad day again for me - I'm writing everything down religiously and I know it's early days but the calorie counting thing combined with the Grocery Challenge works well for me! I think it's because I meal plan so I know in advance what I'm going to cook and I have healthy snacks planned. Oat cakes with Jam are a favourite although my two boys seem to have cottoned on to them and keep nagging me to make some for them.

    Also I haven't been in work......seems like a common theme that cakes magically appear in work and ruin everyone's diets!

    Me today:
    B: 1 slice toast + 1/2 tin spaghetti
    L: slice french bread + hm coleslaw, crudites and hummus, 1/2 pack hula hoops
    D: Spaghetti and meatballs (small portion)
    Dessert: 1/2 peach roasted in marsala

    Snacks: Breadstick, sultana finger, Penguin

    All in all around 1400 cals excluding f&V

    Night Night

  • Good evening everyone :j I hope it's ok if I join you, I think I might be here a little while as I have a :eek: amount of weight to lose.... over the past 6 years I have put on around a stone a year and I have decided it's time to get it off. But I need a daily kick up the bum and encouragement lol! I love my food, and convince myself on a daily basis that I don't look soooo bad, and not sooooo fat, but when I catch a glimpse of myself in the mirror it's like who's that :eek::o

    My friend is doing Lighter Life at the moment, and has lost 3 stone in about 5 weeks, on 500 calories a day :rolleyes: which I know is unhealthy and unsustainable but even so it's hard seeing her shrink and knowing I'll soon be the fattest person in the village :rotfl:

    So starting tomorrow I shall weigh myself and embark on a healthy os eating plan - any tips and hints on how to stay motivated when I have such a large amount of flab to shift very welcome :T:rotfl:
