    Okay, here goes...

I am currently 12 stone and a size 14/16. I used to be 10 1/2 stone and a size 12/14 so I would like to go back to that. If I can lose it in 3 chunks like the suggested Bronze, Silver, Gold (sorry, didn't check who it was but it is an excellent idea) then I can aim for Bronze by Christmas, which is 7lbs. I know that doesn't sound a huge amount but I don't want to cut back on everything all at once as I will give in. So that is achievable even with a few wobbles.
    Does that sound reasonable?

Hello folks :hello: and welcome all the newbies
I've had a cr*p weekend foodwise and have eaten for England  I have however had a 6 mile walk as a little compensation!

Still no news about exOH, he's still too weak to come off the ventilator so they're waiting a little longer before they try, they are replacing his breathing tube with a tracheostomy later today though as htey reckon it will make it easier for him to breathe when they do reduce his sedation.:undecided

Anyway, I realised last night that it's exactly a month to my birthday and if by a miracle I've sts this week I only have 4lbs to go to my target :j Surely even I can get my head in gear for that length of time
I've spent the morning cooking for the week and have lots of nice low fat/point/syn/calorie things in the fridge and freezer :T so I just need to keep on track at night and hopefully have no further visits from the toad!
So far today I've had boiled eggs with rye toast, pea and rocket soup with HM granary bread and I'm making a cauliflower and pea curry with rice for tea.

I'm going to do some fruit in jelly for snacks and I've got yoghurt in the fridge.

Not doing very well a 1lb gain for me this week, blame the school hols and me being off work. Before blaimed work as it is cr*p and I stuff my face while I am their!

Tried some clothes on today at the bif tesco extra, I did not know that they did petite.
Did not buy anything and just ended up depressed! now have 2 spare tyres hanging over jeans.

Been to a BBQ today but did not drink much as I was driving, tried to be good with the food too, think I was.

Part of me thinks, life is too short, i am only 18lbs over weight,no health problems, but then i see the spare tyre!

  • hi all,
Thanks for the welcome everyone! This was me today:

B: Porridge with sugar and milk
L: Wholegrain sandwich with ham/cucumber/hm coleslaw
    D: Beef Stew/roast sweet potato/steamed veg.
pudding: peaches baked in marsala with greek yoghurt (yum and v low fat!)
Snacks: 3 breadsticks/1 corn thin/4 oatcakes with jam or hm smoked salmon pate

Calories came to around 1300 but I don't count fruit or veg apart from potatoes.
    No exercise....lazy woman....:o
  • Well here's me for the day:
    B - milky coffee
    L - beef sandwich
D - cod loin in a tomato and herb sauce with parmesan and mashed potato
    S - mini muffin

I also did two lots of exercise, which was jogging on my trampette thing. A total of 2500 little jogs, not too bad. I figure I need to exercise as well as controlling the eating... sigh... it's so boring! Still, I do my bouncing while DH is having his little twice-daily walks so it's a motivational time for both of us.

    (((hugs))) to everyone!

Just because you had a bank holiday in UK the **dd*m toad has been here....started fine with my porridge, raisins, milk and honey, followed by an apple...then he arrived...had leftover pasta for lunch...in a cream sauce (!), followed by a cheese sandwich, another apple, huge dinner of chicken, roast veggies with garlic butter, potatoes, followed by TWO helpings of rhubarb sponge and creme fraiche...think that there might have been a pear in there somewhere as well!
