Hi all,
I didn't have breakfast today as I was off to Manchester for some window shopping but lunch and dinner were not too horrendous.
L: Green salad with pine nuts, capers and olives, 3 slices garlic breadVeg curry and boiled rice, 2 poppadoms
S: Apple pie
My aim for next week is to avoid eating bread where possible to try and reduce the bloat a bit.
Have a good week all0 -

morning folks!
well, i've been out the house all weekend so have yet to read back through all the bank holiday posts, will do that later when i get a chance
well done to everyone who lost/sts. for me, i'd like to report a 2 lb loss, hurrah!
fora nyone who remembers that i was experimenting this weekend to see how badly my weight was affected by the heavy drinking/bad diet of a usual heavy party weekend - i normally weigh in on mondays, but this week did it friday morning instead, and had already lost 2lbs. so i suppose over the weekend i managed to sts, which isn't too bad, i'm very happy to have lost considering the weekend i've had. still, in the first 4 days i lost 2lbs, in the second 4 days i lost nothing, so i should definitely steer clear of the booze at every opportunity, i think probably the only thing that saved me is that i skipped a few meals due to being out drinking, oops.
will check back in later when i've had chance to catch up on the thread. food for me today:
b - bran flakes w. skimmed milk
l - hm veg lasagne
s - activia yoghurt
t - not sure, perhaps fish cake w. some veg
will go to spin after work

Well, my good intentiond got off to a bad start  I'm on the bus today as OH needs the car so I got everything ready for todays meals last night. Got off the bus in the city centre and set off to walk the half hour to work (hate the second bus journey) I was almost at work when I thought to myself "I'm ready for my breakfast"........and realised it was in the fridge at home  Canteen is shut for a conference so I had no option but to go to the Spar and get a croisant  better than a pain au chocolat at least!
Got last nights leftover veg curry with some quinoa for lunch and sweet potato stew with couscous for tea.
At least I'll get plenty of exercise, I've done 5000 steps already :T0 -
Morning all,
Feel really tired today which usually means I want to pick at food so I am off to the shop to get some fruit to stash in my desk for when the demon strikes. I also managed to leave my lunch at home today which means I will have to try and find something easy to prepare that doesn't contain bread or hog the micro for too long.
B: 2 apples
L: Not sure, probably salad or a packet cous cous which I know is not great but I can't think of anything else. People tend to get arsey if you use the microwave for more than 5 mins so a jacket spud is out (Edited to add, I ended up with cottage cheese, rice cakes, cherry toms and cucumber)Probably wholemeal pasta with pesto because I am off swimming tonight so it needs to be something quick.
S: Maybe a skinny coffee if I fancy one0 -
Hi all, Well done for all those with losses and STS. Well I weighed Sunday and I lost 3lbs taking me to the next stone down, so I have achieved my target for my return to school next week.
Not such a good day yesterday I had american burgers from the butcher, 90% beef, but all I could taste was FAT. I much prefer my own HM ones, but OH bought about 30 of these for a bbq that never happend, they were £5.00 for 4 aswell:eek: .
Anyhoo to make up for yesterdays disaster I am trying to eat no fatty, processed foods today.
B- porridge
L- scrambled Egg
D- Chicken version of Shepherd pie & Veg
Well have a good day all, I have done something to my back so I think I will have a relaxedish day.

I'm pleased as have been indulging in toast and butter, I still haven't found a snack that hits the right spot, have tried grapes, cherries, oat cakes (but this is what brought on the butter attack and so onto the toast! Afternoon all.
Welcome to all the newbies there are a fair few of us now.
I havent had the best week food wise. Started off well and then I was picking at DD1's food and not counting it and I finished the week on 97 syns (should be about 70) and that didnt include all the bits and pieces pinched from DD1's plate! I did manage to lose 0.5lbs which I am disappointed at but a loss is still a loss and I only have myself to blame.
Rambler is right in saying that it helps to write things down and plan. I write EVERYTHING down now and as my SW class is on a Tuesday morning and therefore my "new" week starts on a Tuesday I spend 20mins on a monday writing a meal plan for the week which really helps (and means I can stick to my grocery challenge too!).
Good luck to everyone else weighing-in this week.2 adults and 3 children DD (14), DD (12) & DS (10) :smileyhea and 2 mental beagles.
