As I'm dithering at the moment I think I need both!!!!!
Having a very odd day today and feeling like I've spent it in the vets! 'Ancient one''s blood sugar made the vet gasp this morning as it had shot up way too high after being on the floor last week. Afternoon check was normal, so 5.45 we have to go back again. If it's ok then we can stay on the same dosage and not go back for a month :j :j . DH asked how much it had cost so far and when I told him he said "we could have had a new one for that" :eek: with a big grin on his face - the rotter
.
Have been back to the old routine food wise the past couple of days though the Toad is lurking in the shadows whispering in my ear, drat him. Last night we had potatoes and runner beans from the garden, yummy they were too, with mixed veg and HM steak pastie. Bloomin gorgious. Still got some blueberries to ripen and a few more plums. HOWEVER the sprouts are alive with the sound of munching :eek: :eek: . Those bleeping cabbage whites are everywhere even crawling up the back door this morning :mad: . They said on the 'One Show' that it's been an exceptional year for the blighters and Rick Wakeman had a grump that they were eating his veg too, bless him. Ah well I think like MRSM, insect netting will be on my Christmas wish list for next years veggies.
Off to prepare tea before next vet visit. Spanish Rice with pork sausage. I agree with Taplady that the body goes into starvation mode if you cut down too much, and after a while you get very lathargic and bad tempered - can you guess who's been there and done that :rolleyes: . Then you can't stand the deprevation any longer and all the weight piles back on again :mad: . Plan a healthy menu for the day and if possible spread it out so you can keep munching throughout the day even if you don't feel hungry and that way you shouldn't have carvings as the blood sugars should be more even.
Rockie hope things inprove for Ex and (((hugs))) to DD.
Have a good evening folks.

French woman dont like exercise apparently(think I must have some french blood in me) and the suggestion is too build it in to your everyday life like taking the stairs instead of the lift etc.

Evening folks:hello:
Just had a yummy tea. I'd made some pea, spinach and feta cakes at the weekend, just potato/sweet potato mash with the veg and feta mixed in and then egg and breadcrumbs, they were gorgeous :T I made a tomato salsa to go with them and we had courgettes from the lotty cooked in garlic butter. Really tasty!
Might have some fruit/jelly in a bit. No exercise today but I'll make up for it tomorrow with dancing :dance:
DD is going up to the hospital tonight with DS to see what's going on. It's 10 days since exOH's original op and there's been no progress :wall: She says that no-one's telling them anything, he's just lying there strapped to machines, very worrying and distressing:sad:0 -
((rockie)) really hope you get some signs of improvement soon, it must be really hard for you supporting DD - i hope that things are starting to look up for your other half?
bad day for me - came straight home from work and was so hungry that i had to have a snack before i could cook. which turned into a bagel with a bit of cheese and some tapenade, a chocolate and raspberry cookie (that was 2 dyas old, so not even that nice), a sample bag of jelly bellies (again, don't even really like them) and, to top it off, a peanut butter kitkat that's been in the fridge for several weeks.
i'm now wondering whether to make myself a small, healthy tea to try and make myself feel better, a little less sluggish at least, or whether i should cut my losses and at least try to tell myself that that lot can be passed as some sort of meal replacement.
oh well, back to the drawing board tomorrow - i'll be up at 6 to go to the gym, and it will be my own fault!! going to go after work as well now, to try to make up for tonight, as well as the fact that i'm away (again) over the weekend, so lots of hearty pub dinners with accompanying pints. i'm out to dinner at a friend's tomorrow as well, will try to be a little more restrained than last time, but tonight doesn't bode will for that.
hope everyone else is doing better at this than me tonight0 -
Hi all
Can I rejoin please, I am a bit fatter and in real need of some focus, having gone against my own instincts and joined WW during the summer (and hated it!).
I really need to do this for myself and not in a club of sorts, because I find all the classes and gimmicks really patronising (I especially dislike the shameless merchandising of stuff).
Tomorrow is another day, ladies and laddies, I shall come back to post my good intentions (and hope to keep them!) if you will have me back!
CaterinaFinally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).0 -
Hi Caterina - I'm creeping back in too! I could never get on with WW - made me feel more rebellious than ever! Not sure what's a realistic target for weight loss. Have 3 stone to lose and don't know what would be a suitable time frame. Any ideas?Resolution:

Evening all,
I managed to have a fairly active day today went for a up hill walk in the woods with my DD, the view from the top was amazing and well worth the effort.
I didn't have any breakfast today by the time I felt hungry it was 11am so I decided to have a salad baquette for lunch and Lentil dahl with leftover rice for dinner. Just felt a bit peckish so had some crispbreads with Phiily cheese.Mortgage £25,789.17/£24,918.14/£22,921.47

Hello everybody,
Welcome to newbies and welcome back Caterina.
Strange day here and what I have eaten is:
B... 1Weetabix with banana and very little milk as we had run out;
S....1 slice bread ham sandwich;
L....2 slices bread ham and cheese sandwich, 2 hm rock buns, 2 coffees with milk;
D...carrots, broccoli, very small lamb chop, mash and butter, coffee
S....going to have apple and maybe half tinned peach (if it has not been eaten by somebody else!), might even have bowl of soup
I think that my biggest problem is bread....feel bloated it I have more than 2 slices a day, so am trying to stay off it, also trying to drink at least 3 pints of water a day, seems to help.
Sleep well all,
MarieWeight 08 February 86kg0
