Hi Gang---I've not been Missing I A as having a Muvva In Action:o Bless her, at 83-&-a-lot she still lives in her own home, but has a compulsion to phone me several times a day....usually because she's forgotten to tell me something really important---like the neighbour's replanted their garden with different coloured flowers than they put in a couple of months ago.

I love her dearly, but a little of my mum is beginning to go a rather long way & consequently messing with my head. Because I'm trying to remember what the flip she is talking about/ has bought in for X b'day/ paid the milkman etc, my own diet is falling by the wayside. She is type 2 Diabetic so everything has to be read twice-thrice & then-some & she doesn't do 'funny stuff' that we eat SIZE=1]read spag bag, pizza etc[/SIZEso trying to suggest tempting meals for her & then again for us is becoming a nightmare.

But....like my heroine says...I fully intend upon surviving....but it might take me a while:o

    Hi bigsmoke
This is one of my favourites with those salmon steaks - I wrap them in foil parcels with lemon juice or balsamic vinegar, a bit of olive oil, garlic, shallots or onion, any other veg. I fancy chopping over it, and bake it in the oven. Can't give you a time without seeing how thick they are, so have a look after 10-15 minutes and unwrap and poke the fish to check whether cooked through. Bake at 190C.

Well done for getting a grip frogga and well done for the loss angelnikki.

Got round to weighing myself yesterday and have lost 4 lbs while on holiday! :j Finally I am 12 stone something instead of in the 13s. :D 2 more pound to go and I will have finally shifted that first stone - it's taken me 4 months to do that!

Will have to get a grip like frogga though. Been up since 4 with LO and feel like it's lunchtime - so had leftovers of last night's Indian at 6am. :o

It was homemade Indian though so could be worse I suppose!

    Morning all

Cracking loss JoJoB -losing 4lbs on holiday is like losing a stone at any other time im sure :j
well done on any other losses folks :T

I can report a 1/2lb loss this week -which im really happy with -what with baking blackberry grater cake, banana n ginger parkin..ooohhh and my rediscovered addiction to marmite on toast..with butter :p
But this week i need to get my bum back into gear -this week has been a carb fest :o :rotfl:

    Meals today:-
    1. just had marmite on taost -not making any more bread today ;) that removes the problem :rotfl:
    2. lunch- think i will have a salad or something
    3. dinner -doing pasta with gammon and lots of veggies from the garden
    4. snackies -fruit, nuts, seeds
Hubbies boss sent me 10lb of eating/cooking apples yesterday -so once we have been blackberrying tomorrow i think i will stew them down -or im tempted to make some chutneys...will have to decide today:p ... and he reckons when the cooking apples are ready he will send me some of those too:T
I have 2 aubergines about ready for fetching off, some peppers just starting to turn in colour, some chillies and plenty of tomatoes and some courgettes..so i can see more veggie casseroles/pasta sauces being made..
Yesterday i had one i had made with courgette, aubergine, pattypan and tomatoes from the garden -mushrooms and peppers from the freezer - then onions, dried soya beans and smoked paprika -it came out a bit like a tagine..and I had it on rice n frozen peas and it was really nice -good job i liked it as there are 5 more portions in the freezer ;)

right i had better get off...hugs to all those in need -

Rockie -hope the news on ex-Oh gets better, and that OHs helth improves too -don't forget to keep taking care of yourself ;)

have a great day everyone -will pop back later for a catch up:D

    Morning Peeps,

Well done on the loss MrsM and JoJo :T I can better that though, it was 7lb for me :j Oh, that was a 7lb gain though :o Shame

Still, never mind. I know it doesn't look like it but I am getting better :D Ususally I would have carried on for weeks, ney Months so to snap out of it after a few days is good for me. I know that the extra weight aint "real" weight as it couldn't go back on that quickly. It's sheer volume of food and water and TOTM so I'll be back down again next week if I hold me nerve.

I'm gonna try all week to be good again and get back to 16st 12lb by next Friday and then I'll go into town at the weekend to get some clothes for work. I hate clothes shopping at the best of times but I'm not doing it feeling really full and bloated

Thanks for the kicks, you're me mates so you are :A

    Have a good weekend xxxx
