    oh dear, poor frogga

if it makes you feel any better, i crumbled last night as well - was heading home late and stopped at a turkish caff for a plated shish kebab. with chips. and cheese.

but this morning i hauled myself out of bed and went back into the gym. i can already hear myself in my mind saying 'well, you've got friends staying for the weekend, lots of drinking and eating on the run, you may as well just enjoy yourself and have whatever you want...'. BUT, i keep telling myself that it's always worth stopping - no matter how much i've cracked and stuffed myface and 'ruined everything' it's always worth telling myself that i can still make it better. even if i've had 10 pints and 5 burgers, i'm still better off than 11 pints and 6 burgers!!! small steps...

    today:
b - bran flakes, all bran, sultanas and ss milk
l - a john west tuna light lunch (i know, not at all OS!) and some stuffed vine leaves
    t - not sure yet

i'll be frantically cleaning, tidying, changing sheets and shopping tonight for arrival of my guests so hopefully i'll be kept too busy to snack. i just have to make sure i don't buy myself some sort of convenience meal in mr T's on my way home

    chins up everyone xx

well done frogga - that post is so much more positive!

well, apart from the catalogue frustration ;o)

just wondering if anyone can help me out on a cooking rather than dieting front - i've got some salmon steaks in the freezer (they were reduced to 50p) and i need an easy way to cook them. i've only ever used fillets before, do i treat them exactly the same? they're the ones with the bony bit in the middle... just want to have something relatively plain and easy, with some new pots and green veg

    any ideas anybody? thanks :)

Hi Guys and gals, apols for my absense over last few days - windows, doors, meetings, everything but me to blame for my errors....lol

Food wise I'm holding myself together - so that's a positive.....

Frogga - Your writing my words in so many ways - its what i do - and probably a few others, but you know what your doing. Take control yourself - its empowering - keep recording what your eating - EVEN and ESPECIALLY when your binging...

Remember your more important than food... food's just food, your precious!!!!

    Hugs RAMBLER

    p.s
    Food for today

    3 wheetabix and milk
bowl of tomato soup (tin, but i'm struggling to make it right now)
    1 bread and turkey
    3 bowls of jelly
bowl of tomato soup and 1 bread and turkey
    yogout and frozen fruit

probably 1400 kcals ( ohh and probably a low fat white hot choc as my treat)
There is no need to run outside

frogga - if you binge until your new job you will be on here feeling miserable that you could have lost weight before starting your new job, and how you should've sorted yourself out.....

    so SORT IT OUT ;)

Think how much better your first day in the new job will be if you've lost a few more lbs rather than put them on :D Will be one less thing to be worrying about :p

You know you can do it - deep down you know you can ;)

As for me, erm too many biscuits and cakes so back to trying to be good again :o
On the plus side I've found a really good veg shop thanks to the girls on the grocery challenge thread - it's near my work and has good bargains and the nice man gives you extra stuff for free too :D

I got 22 red peppers for £2 the other day (they are 68p in MrT or 50p on offer!!) :D Really sick of chopping, slicing and freezing them though - and have more to deal with in the fridge :o But will be going back there regularly after my two huge bags of fruit and veg for under a tenner :D

So healthy food and veg intake should increase from now on ;)

I just need to stop making banana cakes with the over-ripe bananas :o
working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?

I don't even want to do it  So, like Newlywed said I'll be on here !!!!!ing about having put on another 1/2 stone in a weeks time. It stops right now! Phew, what a relief :D I'm well and truely told off and sorted out ~ THANKYOU :A xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

    Hi bigsmoke
This is one of my favourites with those salmon steaks - I wrap them in foil parcels with lemon juice or balsamic vinegar, a bit of olive oil, garlic, shallots or onion, any other veg. I fancy chopping over it, and bake it in the oven. Can't give you a time without seeing how thick they are, so have a look after 10-15 minutes and unwrap and poke the fish to check whether cooked through. Bake at 190C.
