Hello all! Not been here for ages as i've been on holiday for 3 weeks. Well, sort of a holiday - I was visiting rellies in Manchester and Ireland. Will be weighing myself tomorrow to check the damage, though I'm feeling optimistic that I've actually lost a few pounds. The relatives all eat 3 meals a day like normal people :D so I have followed suit and not snacked as much (especially in Ireland where we were miles from the nearest choc-shop).

Alcohol consumption is another matter though  :o so maybe the weigh-in won't be as happy as I anticipate!

Will let you know tomorrow (off to read rest of the thread now!)

    Hi all,

Tis quiet on here isn't it? They surely can't be all out sunbathing?

Still driving recklessly on the food front. I have good intentions but end up reaching for bread and butter and little else at the mo. Its so quick and convenient but plays havoc with the digestive system after a time.

Food today (and I will try this time :o )
    Boiled egg and HM bread
Mexican chicken filled pittas with salad
Fruit sponge and custard (just a smidgeon because I've a fancy :p )

Not a healthy days eating exactly but what I can cope with and will avoid a binge that I feel brewing.

Off for a quick surf before a hoard of hungry teenagers arrive  and my mum (who I will never moan about again as she has been my rock these past few months. Love my mum! :D )

    Sees you all later.

  • Morning all - blimey it's like the Marie Celeste round here. Am assuming everyone is somewhere hot and sunny (as I'm not:D ).

Not properly back in weight loss mode yet - little visitor made an appearance last night so feeling pretty grot and in need of chocolate - and when the need bites it needs to be fed:D !

Mrs M - quick Xstitch question - I ordered a kit to do as a pressie for my parents for Xmas. When I had opened it and proceeded to sort it out I realised it is one of the pre-printed ones (lines all marked on the canvas). I have made a start but am not happy with it really - have you done one of these before and if so how did you find it! The canvas is really fine so hard to follow regular sizes to my stitches.

    Anyhoo - to work. W
