  • :hello: Welcome back cheerfulness, lovely to see you!

Nice prize pixie you lucky duck!

Didn't get to go blackberrying as planned this afternoon, too wet and miserable, so with winter looming.....yes I know its only August but bloomin' chilly here today!!..... I decided to sort my winter clobber out and had a trying on session. Now I can't decide whether to be :D :j or :o:eek: .......... :D :j because skirts and trousers are too big, and :o  for exactly the same reason, they're gonna need replacing!! So glad I've been saving with the crimbo club in work, we get that in November so if I can hold out til then in my baggy (but very comfy:D ) trousers I'll be ok.... everyone will have to make do with a v.cheap prez this year though!!

    Eaten today....

    weetabix, 'nana
leek and potato soup from freezer, piece wholemeal, pear
chilli from freezer, bit of boiled rice, mini milk later

Hope you're all having a good Saturday!

Well done on your prize pixie
Had a bit of a binge last night and trying to be good today, but having just made some of Twink's hobnobs (as a gift) I had to try one. Fortunately I stopped at one, but they are extremely moorish.

Evening all ! Felt ill today due to stomach upset-probably from the manky freezer meal I grabbed yesterday. That'll teach me! Also feeling completely miserable due to horrible, horrible weather and what turned out to be pretty depressing summer hols on the whole -we didn't do anything due to visitors inviting themselves to stay when we were on leave:cool:
    Aaaanyhoo!
    Brekkie-porridge
    Lunch-small bowl HM soup
Dinner- HM soda scone with scrape of butter
Hot choc to cheer me up,lol!

Well....best laid plans and all that. I had planned a good food day on Thursday, but ended up on a two hour each way trip to Anglesey to collect dh ready for his sister's wedding the next day. He was going to hire a car to come home, but there was nowhere nearby. DS and I shared a toastie in the sea zoo cafe (cheese as ds doesn't like anything else), then when we eventually got home at 6.30pm, I had a chinese takeaway as I was shattered.

On Friday we drove 2 hours in the other direction to a wedding. We left at 11am, the M6 was chaos so no chance to stop for food, and we arrived at 1.30pm. The wedding was at 2pm, and by 4pm, when there was no sign of any wedding food (the bride and groom had vanished too), dh went to enquire if we could buy some food. The answer was no (don't bother with the Moat House in Acton Trussell everyone).

The bride's son then rugby tackled ds to the floor. Ds had two bleeding knees, was sobbing, and in spite of the snacks we had taken for him, was hungry. We left at 4.30pm, still no food being started (it was an outside BBQ, so would still need to be cooked after it appeared), and went to the Wacky Warehouse down the road.

Not the best day ever. Yesterday dh went back to Anglesey and took the car to do his final days sailing and collect his camping stuff. I was so tired from all the travelling that I just ate junk.

I'm hoping that the coming week will be less stressful, and more organised foodwise. :o

Take care all of you, and sorry to have rambled. I'm still laughing that I was worried about eating too much on Friday....I needn't have bothered.

Well yesterday ended up with me eating far more than I had bargained for but I still came in under budget because I didn't have any lunch :)

I had some feta cheese, sprouted seeds and hoummus with my salad and instead of prawns had falafel and a bag of M & S 'skips' crisps. Also had an individual lemon cheesecake pot thing that was very tasty and some strawberries so all in all I really enjoyed my dinner last night.

Today will be more difficult as it is my friends birthday, I am taking cheesecake slices (thankyou Mr Costco) as I figured at least I would know exactly what is in them rather than cutting a slab off a home-made one.

B: Wholemeal roll and jam, strawberries
L: Nothing, will be eating dinner early
D: Halloumi and veg kebabs with salad, slice of cheesecake and lots of diet ginger beer to avoid the booze

    Have a great day all

Good morning all, well back from my hols, and pleased to say I have only gained a pound.
I was sooo good, no icecreams, not too much wine and only two puddings for the whole of the holiday and lots of long walks up mountains etc. I also saved money.
Well done to all those with weightlosses this week.

  • NOT GOOD. Yesterday was very down so in the eve DS and I went to Mr T and I bought us a carte d'or mint ice cream to share. (There might be a tiny scoop left.) He requested chips for dinner and as I only cook these once in a blue moon and it was only me and him for dinner I agreed but had a few myself. Hmm chips, falafel, HM coleslaw. Lots of green and black olives consumed whilst TV watching. No exercise at all so must leave the puter today and go out and about to walk off some of this flubber. Had 2 boiled eggs and 2 cups coffee so far today. Dinner not planned but DS is requesting pie. Can I resist the pastry?

  • Yesterday was okay:
    B - milky coffee
L - bacon and egg sandwich
D - 1 1/2 sausages wrapped in puff pastry with sliced tomato and cheese on the top
    S - two liquorice allsorts

I'm being very good about the 'no snacks', and I'm drinking plenty of water too.

    Today so far:
    B - milky coffee

L - is likely to be my leftovers from yesterday
    D - roast dinner

  • Morning everyone,

Pondering what to eat today after the excesses of the past few weeks. Haven't had anything as yet as don't feel all that brilliant.
Knowing that making my meals up as I go along is never a good idea for me, I think I need to form some kind of plan.

    Meals today:
    Missed brekkies
Boiled egg with HM bread and butter
Pork chop, roasted veg, spinach and green beans (must use stuff in garden)

I've a chocolate dessert (asdas 4 for 34p offer) that I'll have later and I must make a note to buy fruit in again.

Enjoy your Sundays. I intend to have a surf and then scrapbook or cross stitch away while watching dvds. With a bit of luck I might shift this headache then.
