Lovely to see another new face, welcome Rambler :hello:

I know we have done this before but I think as we've had so many lovely newbys recently it might be a good idea to recap who we are and why we're here. Also Toni will be updating the table soon I guess so any newbys who want to join in the Awesome in August challenge need to post their goals in bold like this so Toni spots it ;)

So, I'm a frog, I'm 35 and up until 4 weeks ago I worked in a Uni Library. I start my new job as a Learning Mentor in a high school on 1st Sept. I have been married for 18 years to Mr Frog and have two Tadpoles I struggled with Annorexia through my teens and then with Binge eating dissorder for years. I have been as light as 6 st and as heavy as 22 st :o but I'm on the way back down again and this time I'll stay there. I want to loose weight because having been fat and thin, I'm happier thin and want to wear all those size 12's rapidly going out of fashion in my wardrobe

Anyone else wish to share? God I sound like a nutter

    Well, following in Frogga's footsteps.......

I'm 37 years old, it's my wedding anniversary on Friday; we'll be married 14 years. We have a DS just turned 13 and a DD aged 3.

I've been a SAHM since DD was born, but before that I worked as a pharmacy assistant and a beauty advisor.

I've always yo-yo dieted...not good I know. Hope to do things more sensibly now...good during the week....relaxed at the weekend....80/20.

I saw my holiday photos two weeks ago from when we went to majorca at the end of June, not a pretty sight. To make it worse the photos weren't even of me wearing a swimsuit, I was dressed up to go out in the evening and after a few drinks I thought I looked ok; how wrong was I????.

My DH keeps telling me I look great, but I don't feel great. I need to lose weight for ME.

    Hi all!

also following in Froggas footsteps - I'm 42 and am just a couple of pounds over my target weight. I have lost almost 2 stone in the last year and my challenge now is to keep it off forever! I have gone from a size 16 to a size 12:j and am now thinner than before I had my 2 children (aged 16 and 18) It is a constant battle to keep on the straight and narrow which is why I keep coming here to keep myself motivated and also to offer any advice to those who need it.

Today I've given in and had a few lovely biccies but other than that have been ok

B - fruit and fibre with a banana

    S - 4 small Harrods biscuits(melting moments)

L - salmon sandwich on small brown bread, grapes and a packet of squares crisps( quite low cal for crisps)

    S - Activia fibre yoghurt

D - quorn sausage , homegrown french beans and peas with roasted sweet spud and some mashed spud and gravy.

I hope you're all having a lovely sunday!
    Do what you love :happyhear

By the way -those choc/cranberry brownies i posted the other day are only 140cals, or 2.5WW points and are a serious choc hit for those TOTM moments ;) super yummy if kept in the fridge/freezer ;)

GRRR! :naughty: you are evil posting all your yummy recipes on here and expecting us to be able to restrain ourselves! ;)

I can now confirm that these are the best brownies I've had :D Yummy yummy yummy. If I don't lose this week I'm blaming you ;) :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Oh, forgot to say I'm 26, living with DS(22months) and exOH (). I want to lose weight for my health and to build up my confidence enough to enable me to get out more and eventually leave exOH. Its a big struggle as I've got M.E. and I'm also agoraphobic so find it extremely difficult to get out and exercise. I've lost 11lbs in the last 8 weeks but I really dont know how I've managed it  and I'm not sure how long my losing streak is gonna go on for. Esp with these yummy brownies in the house. :p

    Hello everyone,

I'm 41, with a dh that works away for 4 months out of every 7, and we have a 3 year old ds.

I have one polycystic ovary, so needed basic fertility treatment to gave ds, and I'm on medication from my gp that is supposed to make it easier for me to lose weight (it's Metformin and it's not noticeably working just now).

I was 15 stone 7 when I was married in 2002, and 17 stone 7 when I conceived ds in 2004. I started my epic weight loss journey in January 2005, weighing in at 17 stone 2 lbs. I am 5ft 1" tall....... I have been 14 stone 12 lbs for the last 3 months, so I would like to lose some weight in August. I'm not setting any targets, as I'm not good with them, but my eventual target is to end up weighing about 9 and a half stone.

I am a binge eater too - if I start eating junk I can't stop. I find planning my meals really helps with that - I don't get stressed and think about food if I know what is coming next. Time to plan has been in short supply lately :o but I think I'm sorted timewise now.

Take care all of you, and good luck for August!

    Afternoon all

AngelNikki.. don't know what you mean
they are rather scrummy aren't they :EasterBun:rotfl:
I still have some in the freezer :A :p ... And the rest of the bar of choc i got to make them is still in the cupboard -double :A me thinks :rotfl:

    Joining in....

Im 36 and married to my lovely hubby for 6 years tomorrow :D... but still no children.. it just won't happen  .... not for the want of trying of course ;) ... only 6 years and counting  we have to be difficult and have the "unexplained" infertility
Still we are giving it to xmas and then off to see the Drs again-thats 1 of the few problems with moving around with the forces :o
Amongst other reasons for wanting to shift this extra wobble the main one is to increase our chances..failing that we are going to look into adoption/fostering -
Anyway -im counting my blesings that i have the hubby i do... and would rather have him and no children than have children and be without him... I have a great family and losing sis recently only made me more aware of being gratefull for what we have and not freaking out over what we don't have ;)

right im off again..have a great evening all

I would dearly love to help with the yoghurt questions, but unfortunately it is not I who proclaims to be the expert:o There is, however, a fair bit of info over on Weezl's crimbo thread if that's of any use:confused:

Oooh we did this a couple of times before didn't we, trying to say summat nice about ourselves...so let me think:rolleyes:

If I were 10 years younger & the opposite hair colour than I am I'd be Fair, Fat & Forty:D As it is, one outta three can't be bad_party_ I have three wonderful bubbies who are now all growed up but still living at home, I cook for all of us & the Pup too & our Iggie is a vegetarian. There has always been too much of me--no matter what I've tried--so I'm just gunna keep whitling away like a dripping tap on a stone in an attempt to lose it for good.

How did I do this time Frogga cuz you told me off before:undecided

    Evening all :hello:
Another following Frogga. I'm 50something  married to OH No2 for nearly 18 years 2 kids (now in their 30's:eek:) by OH No1 and 2 gorgeous grandkiddies by DD.
Serial dieter, got to goal with WW and SW on several occasions  and currently about 8lbs from my target weight by making 'healthy choices'(most of the time ;) )
I'm a teaching support technician at a university earth sciences department which is where the 'Rockie' comes from, I'm not nicknamed after the boxer:rotfl:

I'm shattered today! Spent the morning digging at the lotty, walked into town and back this afternoon, then spent ages podding broad beans - just blanched and frozen 3lbs:eek: scrubbed and sorted 14lbs of spuds:T and roasted the last of the beetroot.

Brekkie today was scrambled eggs and mushrooms with rice cakes, lunch was oatcakes, hummus, beetroot and salad, and tea was mushroom and lentil bake with homegrown cauliflower  and broad beans followed by berries in lime jelly , soya yoghurt and a drizzle of honey.
I've got some cherries for a snack later and might have a glass of wine if I can stay awake!

    Oh a marked improvement Mumma :T A+

You should have added that you are a good friend, have a great sense of humour, a beautiful personality that is so obvious even through the PC and that you are a very supportive motivator of the rest of us :A But I wasn't expecting miracles
