I think it was rs who liked to know about regional foods so here are some from where i live you may or may not have heard of them.

    Dips
A bread bun/roll with either savoloys , pork or beef in them the bun/roll is dipped (hence the name) in the juice the meat is cooked in and then you can have peasepudding and or sage stuffing on.

    Peasepudding
made from yellow spilt peas although you can use any we have it with ham/bacon in sandwichs i also put it on a salad.

    Puddings in the corner
is a mince gravy with veg in (optional) add suet dumplings put in the oven the suet dumpling go crispy on the top then we serve with mash.

    panackelty
It is made with layers of diced cornbeef, vegetables covered with gravy and sliced raw potatoe on top, seasoned and covered .cooked in the oven you can use up any veg or meat really we've had it with sausage .

i will add more later but my mind has gone blank at the minute

    Hello Peeps:(

I'm SO cheesed off. I switched energy suppliers cause of all the hype and now I think I've done the wrong thing. I thought it was supposed to be a painless process  Well, it's been a pain in the ar5e for me and I want to go and cry.

Have posted on another thread but no ones there  Just wanted to share with some of my pals who will be nice.

I wish I'd left well alone now. Not gonna eat though ;)

Nice weird stuff you're eating there Lainie :T

    Hi All,

Just popped back to say I have put a link to show the knitted projects I have made since I started back in June trying to keep my mind off eating. I've loads of things made but not much weight lost. Perhaps I need to cut back on the knitting and have a few more long walks again!!

These look lovely, I can knit but very rarely finish anything. To have done this many since June is amazing. Well done you.

  • Yesterday wasn't too bad.
Not much left in fridge so for dinner I had 2 small boiled potatoes, peas, tomato topped with a couple of slices of camembert (whoopsi) grilled. Went to theatre (am dram) and peckish when I got home so had a hm smoothie - remainder of milk, yog with manky banana and vanilla extract for flavour. 1 gass coke in interval - there were chocolates and crisps laid out for general consumption and I managed to avoid these.

    Today
Bfast 2 slices wholemeal toast with lemon and lime marmalade
lunch 1 slice cheese on toast, 1 slice toast and butter. glass milk.
not much left in fridge so will go shopping shortly. Not sure what we will have for dinner - will see if anything interesting in the reduced cabinet.

    Have a good weekend everyone.

    Congratulations Mr and Mrs Frog:kisses2:

We've been married 18 years in November and I was wed to OH no1 for 16 years....child bride me:rolleyes:

Toni - I would take the phoo and let the manager know that the childs behaviour is unacceptable, having said that I once went storming round to a parents house when my son came in age 6 with a bl**dy nose only to find out that he'd bitten the other kid on the arm :o Myself and the other mum chastised the kids and then shared a bottle of wine. The 2 lads are still the best of friends 25 years later!

We went off to find Winfields camping place this morning to get a few bits for our next trip, unfortunatly the AA instructions got us lost  OH was in a foul mood as we had to drive through a town centre without a clue where we were  so I ended up buying lunch to placate him! I had leek and potato soup with a small roll, the soup was thin and too salty
I'd had porridge for brekkie but when I got in I had 4 rice cakes with hummus and beetroot and a banana.

Tea will be cauldron sausage, potatoes and cabbage (OH is having steak that was whoopsed in MrT's) and I'll have a glass of wine later.

Frogga - I've been debating switching, I've changed suppliers several times in the past but I'm with EDF now:eek: and they're the only supplier I've never had a problem with so I'm loathe to swap even though their prices have gone up........have to think about it....

    Floyd :T :T well done!

I've been wandering around the house looking for summat to eat but no idea what it is I fancy:o My gran used to say "you can't be that hungry then" & I spose she was right, but my tum doesn't agree:D

  • Hi all

Haven't caught up on the last few days yet, hope you're all being good;)

I've spent the last 3 days\nights with sis in law and the kids at their caravan (I drove home this afternoon, they're stopping on til Monday).Aside from 15 year old nephew having a face like a slapped @rse....wanted to be at home bored with his mates:rolleyes: .... and a huge storm on Wednesday which caused a power cut, it was a nice little break. Lots of walking done and we ate pretty healthily too so even being away hasn't scuppered any chance of a loss this week...... yes the halo's still on girls!!:A :T

    B- weetabix
    L- beans on toast
D- not sure yet, can't think what's in so off for a mooch in kitchen.....
