Hi All

Well didnt get much sleep as i kept thinking what if (why do we do that to ourselves) there was also a thunder storm through the night and the rain lashed down. My ds is fine apart from a little shaken he said he ran away because the car turned and was coming back and he thought the driver was gonna be angry with him a few years back he scraped the paintwork of a static car whislt riding his bike and the owner went mental , after explaining to him why he shouldnt have done that which he seems to have understood (i hope) i have now put it to rest in my mind in the never to repeat again box. Thankyou to you all for your kind words and concern.

Last night as i said i went over my weightwatchers points by 33 there is no-way i can get them back so i have decided to forget it and start afresh from today so i have had poached egg on toast for breakfast and dutchcrisp bakes and paste for lunch , ooo and a peach so i am straight back on track thankfully at one time it would have took me months to put myself right after a day like yesterday but now i have control its much better.

Wow some great losses here, welcome to all the newbies too :)

My WI is tomorrow but I am fully expecting another maintain, think I need to cut out the processed things next week which shouldn't be too hard as I am off work and planning on going swimming at least 3 times so heres hoping it will get things moving.

B: Nothing
L: Tuna baguette
D: Spaghetti matriciana (wholemeal pasta) and large salad

No treats today apart from a small skinny iced latte

I have vowed to try and learn to knit to keep my mind off food, I would also love to learn to crochet as my Nanna used to make the most incredible bedspreads. See how I go though with simple dishcloths to start off.

Have a fab weekend all

Welcome to the newbys :hello: I love it when we have new faces on here ~ they're full of enthusiasm and they don't yet know what idiots we are :D

Glad all is well now Lainie , forget yesterday and concentrate on today. You can't be good with something like that going on for heavens sake ;)

I can crochet Floyd. I did a GREAT big French crochet silk bedspread for our bed. It cost me £100!!!!!! I though I could pass it down to Tadpole 1 as a family heirloom. It's not easy with webbed feet either ;)

Been to felixstowe and got the Tadpoles new shoes for school. Was tricky getting some that were not leather and the right size but we got there in the end :j

Right, off to get the tea ready. Guess what? We've got potatoes ;)

What do you meen Suz? Very attractive, charmingly funny, cute, with a hint of cheekyness all rolled into one?

Several days later, I'm back. Yes Frogga, on a frog its wonderful but the alfa female of the wolf pack isn't ment to be round and green  . Here at 'land shark central' we seem to have been bombarded with viruses and bugs. DS4 has been off colour for a few weeks now and dispite blood tests last week nothing showed up. He's had more today and even the doc says he looks ill. I've had a tummy bug the last few days and spent yesterday in bed, sleeping most if the day. I had some soup for lunch and now feel as if I've swallowed MRSM's beach ball - groan! The 'ancient one' had to go into the vets for more blood glucose tests on Wednesday as the urine sticks showed an increase but thankfully all is well and the vet was happy with her progress.

So all in all I've missed my last day of the month WI as it would have been a false reading. Still torn between STS and going for goal. I would love to hit the five stone loss mark and then to be 10st something would be fantastic and then BMI 25. Oh I don't know, help!!!!!!!! . Will weigh myself next week and then decide.

Have spent today de-furing the den and pottering around. Must check up on the sprouts later as heaven only knows how many eggs will have arrived on them in my absence. Even found tiny caterpilla's on one in the greenhouse  .

Welcome all the newbies, lovely to see you. Huge congrats to you losers especially Alex, truely awesome, well done. :T :T :T

Nixy the photo is lovely, all your work with the cross trainer was worth it.

Take care folks, Suz

I'm going to go back to my 80/20 method that I used before....quite good during the week and more relaxed at the weekend (enjoy my vino at the weekend).

I haven't had a chance to read all the posts, but hopefully over the next few days I may get a chance.

Does someone want a falafel recipe????
Here's mine, they're baked not fried and are dead simple.

Falafel

8oz dried chickpeas soaked for at least 48 hours (or use a tin)
1 onion finely chopped
2 cloves garlic crushed
1 level tsp cumin
1 level tsp ground coriander
1 small red chilli deseeded and finely chopped
1 tbsp chopped fresh coriander
2 tbsp chopped parsley
¼ tsp baking powder
Salt & freshly ground black pepper
Frylight for spraying

If using dried chickpeas drain and rinse well or drain and rinse tinned.
Put the drained chickpeas in a processor with the onion, garlic, cumin, coriander, chilli and herbs and process until smooth.
Stir in the baking powder and seasoning.
Transfer to a bowl and chill for an hour.
Take small pieces and shape into balls then flatten slightly.
Place on a tray sprayed with frylight and bake in a pre-heated oven at 2200C Gas mark 7 for 12-15 minutes until crisp and golden.
A bowl of low fat yoghurt flavoured with fresh mint and chopped chilli makes a good dip to go with them.

I had my carrot and parsnip soup with a slice of granary bread at lunchtime, just going to have some cherries and a banana before I get the tea ready.....

:j me me me :j ...Thankyou for both for the falafel recipes i love em :D
I used to love gillian mc ones but got rid of the book  and they aren't in her meal plan book..glad to see both recipes you have given me don't have tahinni in.. it would probably be a b*gger to get here:p

I had my toast for brekkie... jelly n fruit mid afternoon and didn't have lunch in the end as brekkie was later than usual... although me n hubby have just shared a baguette straight from the oven with spread on nomnomnom.. the other 7 will go in the freezer downstairs if i can find room...

We won't be having dinner until about 7:30 as i have just sent a "tipsy" hubby to bed for a couple of hours :rotfl: someones leaving do at work so they sat out in the sun drinking beers  ..so its gone straight to their heads.. hopefully the baguette will help soak a bit up and the water i have sent up with him will help a bit:rotfl:

Just fetched another san marzano tomato off the plant..they are really ugly but taste sublime... will be saving some seeds and planting plenty of those next year..would recomend them to any of you who fancy a go...

right im off for 2 more hours x stitching in peace ;)
well done on the losses folks..
have a great evening all

:hello: New month, fresh start, new Frog on the way :D

Ooh Frogga - should we start knitting?;)

Well done to Mrs M and other losers!

As Frogga said, we are both weighing in today (STS for me) and then not again until 31 August. I have decided that I am going to just try and keep to 3 healthy as possible meals and 2 healthy snacks each day OS style. My target for August is not to binge and to lose some, but not a determined amount, weight. I am also going to look at my grocery spending because it is all over the place.

Lainie - glad your son was okay - that must have been so worrying.

I listed a load of stuff on Amazon last night and have already made £60 so I am chuffed!

Hope you are all having a good day.
