Cheese and onion fry it is just mashed potato mixed with a small hint of cheese powder and onion flavour (I think!) covered in bright orange breadcrumbs, like a fish cake. I swear they were lovely years ago and actually contained cheese and real onion but I just use my imagination now! I sometimes have them battered which is lovely.
I've never made a HM version, I really should, they'd be lovely with a salad and maybe a bit of rice.

where i live in sunderland we call them a cheese pattie , you can get them with fish or cornedbeef too mmmmmmmmm

    omg what a night

My ds (15) went out on his bike with a friend and at 9.30pm his friend came to my house saying my ds was knocked off his bike but ran away holding his arm and he couldnt find him so i was in complete panic trying to find him , found him eventually he rang me from another friends house. so took him to hospital to get checked over , luckily barring a chunk out of his little finger and being in shock he is fine (thank god) but that 1hr of not knowing where he was , was the worst 1hr of my life , after seeing the car and bike he has been very very luckly , the police have just left after taking a statement and i'm writing this in so much relief i cant tell you. i had took his mobile from him that morning as a punishment for his behaviour and all i kept thinking was why did i do that its weird but we parents always blame ourselves.

my food has gone to pot but will fix that from tomorrow for now i'm gonna have a glass of wine and try and relax.

Don't bother inviting me MRSC, I hate the cold, even during summer, I tend to put the heating on  :rotfl:

    Morning peeps,

Toni it must be something in the air as i have just lost my post too GGGRRR.

well what a night it has been here, thunder n lightening woke me up at 3am and i havent been able to get bk to sleep as the rain was so loud! just been out to check on my poor veggies and they are swimming!!

def bk on track today following yest. had to go to docs for routine app and my blood pressure is through the roof and they are now wanting to do blood test as i keep feeling shaky and dizzy. i really really hate blood tests!

going to make a bean casserole today and chickpea burgers a la gillian mcpoo, i cant follow her plan to the letter but thought i will try some of her recipes as they are full of good stuff. I got the cookbook in whsmiths on weds for £4.99 and there are loads of recipes inclo smoothies and soups. i am going to try the carrot and almond soup soon to as its brill for your immune system apparently (although not sure if i have one the way its going!! :rotfl: )

not sure food wise for all of today but there will no doubt be courgettes in it (my salad drawers are bulging frm my plants in the garden!! i swear i have about 10!!!)

well have a lovely day everyone (((HUGS)))
