    As we were talking about being hot or cold at night I thought I would tell you what I had on in bed last night ~ The winter duvet, the top quilt, pj's and my fleecy ;) Well, Mr Frog was away so I couldn't snuggle up and put my feet on him warm legs so I ended up with socks on too. Dya think I'm ill? I NEVER get too hot you know :confused: Even when it's REALLY hot. I did sweat once in 1994 when I push biked to Norwich on a summer day. I can clearly recall a bead of sweat on my back. It's not as if I haven't got ample insulation so I wonder why :confused:

    Frogga - are we related? :D With all this 'warm' weather I'm still in my cardie (it did actually come of briefly during the day last weekend when it got over 25c! I actually think I know why I feel the cold - one of my kidneys works at 25% (poor circulation and feeling the cold is some of the symptoms/side effects!)

    Don't panic - I'm sure you'res is because you're a frog :D

    Heck frogga

    I can't stand being warm... we have the bedroom windows swinging off the hinges, one sheet on the bed that ends up in a heap, and the electric fan on full welly all night

    You will have to come and stay with us..if you want super warm we can make you a bed up in the loft... you pull the steps down and its like opening the oven door :eek: ...failing that hubby says you can have his army jobbies -very fetching -imagine a giant babies all in one snow suit :rotfl: but super insulated :D

    Im always thought it was because i was "well upholstered" that i didn't feel the cold.. but even as im losing i still feel the same :confused:

    Evening all.

    Not a bad day. Eating went to plan until teatime then had to go to W.I. committee without any tea as things (e.g. life!) got in the way.

    Settled for a slice of HM bread toasted & a glass of milk instead of the proposed pasta when I got in.

    Not really eaten enough today but I'm sure I'll make up for it over the weekend!

    I've bought a smaller bowl for my breakfast cereal as I weighed my portion on Monday & realised I have been kidding myself how much I was eating!

    As I go away on the 26th my Awesome in August target is 5lb.

    Not a great day today. Lots of bad bad hassle off the ex and imminent TOTM. I ate badly but not really too much. My excuse for the chippy is that I didn't finish decorating until 7 and then I visited my friend who's been in hospital.

    breakfast - nothing
    lunch - tin spaghetti with tiny individual smoked cheese melted in (YUM!)
    tea - cheese and onion fry it and chips
    snack - fairy cake

    Hi folks,

    Congratulations losers and welcome newbies.

    Today I have eaten:
    B Apple, one weetabix with a banana, glass water;
    S. Glass of barley water and orange juice;
    L. Apple;
    D. Yesterday's leftover stirfry...lots of veg, some meat, not much rice, 2 heads beetroot;
    S. Will have slice of brown bread with cream cheese and some dried mango;

    Drank 3 pints water and 1 coffee with milk.

    Thanks for the barley water tip Mrs MC, seems to be working as ankle is not as swollen to-night, will continue to-morrow.

    Thought you didn't like beetroot Frogga? I'll have it, but you can have the peanut butter thanks.

    Sleep well all, good luck for weigh in to-morrow

  • Ooh Mariel - what's cheese and onion fry it? I love hearing about regional chippy food. Here we don't really have anything special, but the chinese round the corner lets you take any kind of chocolate bar in and they batter it and fry it for you:eek:

    I have just had a small bag of prawn crisp thingies - 105 calories so not a binge but still unnecessary. Never mind - back on the wagon tomorrow PROPERLY until the end of August - well, until my Birthday on 29th.

    I have just vegged out and watched TV all night - The Bill followed by Harley Street! I am trying to decide whether or not to do a car boot sale on Sunday or not - I really don't like them but I could do with raising some money and I have lots of [strike]tat[/strike] stuff to sell.

    Well hope you are all having a good evening - it's still roasting here - I am almost never cold - it's all the padding;)

    Marie - we cross posted - glad the barley water seems to be working - I am going to try it too - how did you make it or did you buy commercial stuff?

    Cheese and onion fry it is just mashed potato mixed with a small hint of cheese powder and onion flavour (I think!) covered in bright orange breadcrumbs, like a fish cake. I swear they were lovely years ago and actually contained cheese and real onion but I just use my imagination now! I sometimes have them battered which is lovely.
    I've never made a HM version, I really should, they'd be lovely with a salad and maybe a bit of rice.

    Today I've had:

    B - milky coffee (half a pint of gold top, 1 tsp of instant coffee, 2 tsp sugar, bung in microwave for 2.5 mins)
    L - boiled egg and HM bread, toasted, with butter (one slice but XL loaf)
    S - banana
    D - 3 roast chicken wings and a smaller-than-my-fist size jacket potato with cheese and coleslaw

    Trouble is, I'm peckish again now... better go to bed :D

    Weigh in tomorow, I shall see what's happened in the last week with no snacks at all except today's banana.

    *hugs*
    Alex
