Hello everyone.
Sorry I've not been posting for the last week or so, but I was in sunny Devon last week and I've been rushed off my feet so far this week.
What a lot of newbies have appeared. Hello to you all:hello: :hello: :hello:
Ness W - I agree with newlywed and taplady. 1 or 2 pounds a week and make small changes. The first thing I did was give up alcohlol on week nights. Then I cut down portion sizes and joined a gym and then I joined this thread. I started just after Christmas and I've already lost nearly 2 stone.
Talking of weight loss - I didn't get to weigh myself last week because I was away so I did it today instead, my last one in July, and I had lost another 2lbs. :T That brings my total for July to 7lbs.:j It's one pound less than my target, but I'm very pleased with it anyway - yey, go me.
I'm not going to be around much in August what with hols and everything, although that won't stop me being Awesome. I'm going to join Frogga and RS and not weigh in every week. Instead I will just weigh myself at the end of the month and by then I want to be under 15 stone, which means my challenge is to lose at least 5lbs. I think that's doable.
Lets be awesome everyone.!!!

Thank you for the kind welcome. Unfortunately I have just weighed myself and discovered I am a little heavier than I thought. Not a surprise as I have been tied to a desk for the last three months which is not usual for me. So, what should be my first step tomorrow if I just take it one step at a time?
Thanks, Ness.0 -
Acually, just an afterthought, does anyone know what my "ideal" weight should be? I'm 5'6". Any ideas anyone?
Ness W - tell us what your normal eating pattern would be tomorrow, and we might be able to suggest something.0 -

Orpheus....good to see you back missed our token man:D, you did well 3 months in the US and only put on a stone, I go a couple of times a year for work usually for 7-10days and put on 7lbs in that time, the portions can be obscene:eek:
RS you put me to shame you do more with a broken wrist than I do normally, don't understand why you are not 9 stone...
I hope you enjoyed the film Frogga and I'm certain you really do eat peanut butter, beetroot and rocket wholemeal sarnies whatever Orph says:p
Welcome to all the new people and good luck, don't know about you lot but I'm all pumped up and ready to be AWESOME:dance: bring it on0 -

Your healthy weight range is between 8 st 12 lb - 11 st 1 lb. So take your pick. I tend to stay at the top end of my weight range, but it suits me!0 -
http://www.weightwatchers.co.uk/health/asm/calc_healthyweight.aspx I got my info from ww. I think they base it on your bmi range the top one being 250
