Morning All,
I gave in to temptation yesterday and had some cake, but only one slice which is way better that what I would have scoffed before.
I'm happy to report that I've shed 3.4lb (if I say lost it means that I may have to go find it again) anyway I'm pleased.
I think my wonder food is porridge with water and sweetener, I don't feel hungry at all after I've eaten it.
Well done bigsmoke on quitting the ciggies :T I wish you good luck
Ispartacus75 - WOW that's brilliant - well done you :T
Have a lovely day everyone - I'm off for my breakfast.I won't buy it if I can make or borrow it instead

I've not been doing wonderfully and now I have the combination of delight and possible horror of a fitting for my wedding dress on Wednesday evening! Oh dear.
I'm not feeling well today so can't face much food...
B - apple
L - vegetable soup
D - beef and vegetable soup!
Not very varied I know but the thought of food is making me feel queasy!
Good luck this week to everyoneOfficial DFW Nerd Club - Member #398 - Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts :T

STS for me this week, at least I haven't put back the 1lb I lost last week.
Have had cereal for bfast but not sure what for rest of today. May make a green lentil shepherds pie for dinner, have some potatoes that need using up, depends on what time I leave work. thanks for the smoking support folks - i only really finally made the decision on my way to work this morning (when i 'missed' my first cigarette), so it's great to have it reinforced
only problem now is that i've got half a packet of tobacco left, and it seems so un-MSE to throw it away0 -
 earliest I can see physio is Friday
I need to stay positive or I'll hit the snack drawer
I'm getting knackered without sleep and that just gives me the munchies. So I've chopped up loads of fruit and veg and popped them in the fridge
catch up with you all later in the week
have a good one0 -
Well done ispartacus
2lbs off for me this week. I think. Scales initially said 7lbs off, then 5lbs off, then 2lbs off, then 4lbs off, then sts, then 2lbs off. So I'm plumping for 2 lol and will check tomorrow morning.
My BMI is now 30.3, so close to being just overweight instead of obese!
Started a second job on Friday, so am now working 61 hours per week  hopefully though this will help with the losses as will have no time to eat :rotfl:
Today -
Breakfast (forgot, was way too busy)
Snack - 2 ww choc chip cookies
Lunch - 1/2 a m&s kids spag bol meal
Dinner - Corned beef and brown sauce sandwich on wholemeal. Not sure if I'll eat it all or not, depends on how many breaks I have.Weight loss to date - 8st 13lbs :j0 -
Good luck, with giving up the ciggies Bigsmoke :T
Moneypooh - hope you soon feel better and get a good nights sleep x
well done to all who have lost or STS this week :TDo what you love :happyhear0 -
HI all, I won a lunchbox pack on the love food hate waste thread. It includes a small pot that keeps food cool for up to 3 hours with a spoon included. So I plan to bring some tinned cherries to work to try and up my 5 a day
Plus, for me cherries are as good as sweets!!
So been bad this weekend - cherry and chocolate crepes, chocolates, biscuits etc
But start again from tomorrow with my new pot, flask and drinks bottle (really ought to drink more water)
Well done on the losses and STS.working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0 -
Does anyone have any ideas for savoury snacks that wont kill my plans? Im getting sick of eating fruit all the time so am looking for something different.
Can Beef Jerky be used as a suitable snack? I know its dried meat but I dont know if its also treated with sugars and stuff.0 -
hi ispartacus
depends what kind of 'regime' you're on, and lots of people think that i'm crazy with this but a savoury snack that i love is cold potatoes. either left over or (even better) microwaved until they're soft. i find that if you pop them in a plastic bag while they're still warm they're really soft and moist when you come to eat them
like i said, not to everyone's tastes though!
i also always carry a packet of oatcakes with me (you can get small round 'click' tupperware that exactly fits one packet in) - they're low GI and about 40 calories each, great for munching on a couple on the way home from the gym when you need a lift, or if i'm out shopping it stops me buying a snack.
carrot and celery sticks of course, cherry toms, sliced peppers etc. babybel light are tasty and not too bad for you (although they're not cheap, or OS!!)
i'm sure there are loads more but not feeling very inspired i'm afraid! and i know nothing about beef jerky, will have to wait for someone else to pop in...
mmm, i could really go a few of those potatoes now....0
