hi all
not a good day for me, at my parents house (well, actually, it's a lovely day, but not good for the waistline!):
b - porridge
s - half a HM biscotti
l - HM leek and potato soup, slice of bread and marg, large cracker with cheese, orange, bit of peanut and honey slice (crikey, i though i was a bit fuller than usual, no wonder!)
t - we're out for dinner adn then to the cinema to see james bond, i can't wait! will try to be vaguely sensible with the mean but it is a special occassion...;)
have a great weekend everyone, might pop in to see how everyone's going, but suspect i'll be feeling too bad about all the yummy homely treats i've been shoving in my face!0 -
Ok I've decided that I'm not doing enough to help my weight loss and since it's coming up to "that" time of year again I'd really like to loose a few pounds before all the parties start. Not having a scales to do a weigh-in means that I'm seriously lacking motivation because I can't see how well I'm doing.
So I've decided to do a "measure-in" instead! This means every week or so I'll take my waist and hip measurements to see if i'm actually shifting anything! I'm hoping that this will give me the motivation I need to get shifting the pounds!0 -
Hi there,
I love OS but have noticed recently (well for a while lol) that I don't always eat healthily. I am not overweight (well I don't weigh myself but my size 12 pre-pregnancy clothes fit fine) but more worried about my health- eating the right nutrients, the odd treat, and not overdoing it. I don't own scales, although like the idea of a measure in (to check my waiast/hips/thighs are at least not getting bigger lol!).
Is this the right place to post this, or is there somewhere better (board guides feel free to move me!) ?
I really just want someone to help me stay on the straight and narrow (have eaten approx 7 weetabix brownies in a day and a half        )
Thanks.Ermutigung wirkt immer besser als Verurteilung.

Not too bad then tappy, you'll be back to target in no time - I've got 1 3/4 lbs left to get back to target but wouldn't mind losing 2lb extra as a "buffer zone"
me too newlywed - would like to get slightly under target for Christmas if possible so I can enjoy myself without worrying!
Yesterday was not good as someone bought a huge tin of roses into the course so I had quite a few of them along with some choc chip cookies:rolleyes: but I didn't have the fish and chips that was on the menu at work for tea - stuck to my quorn chilli.:A
Food today not decided on dinner yet but here's the rest - need a good few days after yesterday!
B - 2 small toasts with marmalade
S - banana(1)
l - jacket spud with cottage cheese and salad(1)
S - satsumas(1)
D - ?
hope you all have a good day!
Happy Birthday to Kiwichick!:beer:Do what you love :happyhear0 -
Hi all,
I finally got home at 8pm to find that OH had decided Indian take-away would be easier as he had only finished at 7pm. Luckily he hadn't ordered so I put my foot down and started desperately hunting for something to cook. Pesto had gone mouldy, no quorn mince for spag bol, no bread for beans on toast (OH shops daily which drives me nuts as I always have 'storecupboard essentials' so I can at least throw something together but he just uses them and doesn't replace them ).
Well I rolled up my sleeves and made a cottage pie with all the veg scrapings from the bottom of the fridge, lentils and a portion of my freezer mash and served it with frozen braised red cabbage, frozen peas, tinned corn and some sad looking brocolli. :money:
Went down a storm and I stuck to plan so I'm pleased to report I have lost the 2 lb that I put on after my fortnight of madness:D:D
I am so pleased because normally I would cave in after doing a 13 hour day and being ravenous so yay me ha ha
B: Nothing yet, going shopping to re-stock my cupboards
L: Chickpea soup and a rollHM veggie lasagne with garlic ciabatta and a huge salad
S: We are having trifle tonight, lemon and mango I think....yummy
Have a fab weekend all X0 -
well Done Floyd:T :T :TDo what you love :happyhear0

Afternoon all!
Haven't posted for a while because I've had an abysmal couple of weeks foodwise shovelling pure junk down..... no particular reason, I just wanted it and couldn't seem to stop once I got going:o Haven't been brave enough to get on the scales, just know I feel all lardy and rubbish and disappointed with myself and I've got to get my bum back into gear as of NOW!!
Feeling very positive today and actually made a fresh start yesterday after booking a day off on 5th Dec to go clothes shopping.... promised myself some new smaller clothes with my Xmas savings months ago so I've got 2 weeks to reverse the damage of the past couple of weeks. Do I want to feel lardy and depressed in the changing rooms? - NO!! Can I do this? - YES!!
Today's menu....
B - porridge
L - veg soup(made a huge pan last night to see me through the weekend and some for the freezer), slice of wholemeal with a scrape of butter
D- egg, SW chips and peas
Got plenty of fruit in for snacks and I can't hit the bickies cuz there's none left, I ate 'em all!
Well done the losers, and good luck for getting back on track to the strugglers.0 -
Morning all! Well done on the loss newlywed. :j
Another one sheepishly checking in after weeks of food silliness.I was all !!!!-a-hoop 3 weeks ago after losing 5 lb, then went away for Halloween weekend, ate loads of junk and that started me off eating stupid again. So 3 weeks later I have put back on the 5 lb and frankly feel lucky it was only that much! Have been rubbish on the 5 a day thing too.
So.... time to focus once more. Going to see family at christmas and really don't want to feel self-conscious about my weight. In my dreams I will lose a stone by then, but 9lb will do.
Food today:
Breakfast: Dorset cereal very berry cereal (1)
Lunch: Baked potato with tuna and sweetcorn mayo (1)
Dinner: Vegetable korma with rice and quinoa (2)
Snack: melon and grapes (1)
Should be my 5 a day there. :T2015 wins: Jan: Leeds Castle tickets; Feb: Kindle Fire, Years supply Ricola March: £50 Sports Direct voucher April: DSLR camera June: £500 Bingo July: £50 co-op voucher0 -

snacks - bananas and clementines(2)
might also have a fruity yoghurt for pud
Hope you all have a great day!:wave:Do what you love :happyhear0 -
Well done Floyd on cooking after such a long day, very OS on so many counts.
Hi to Jojob and Droopydrawers welcome back.
Yesterday was weird. I went shopping the whole day but bought nothing. Was on my feet for 5 hours solid, ate no snacks just bought a bottle of water but loved every minute of it. Diner was OKish but should've passed on pud - clotted cream goes straight to my hips. Legs are feeling well used today.
Not sure what to do now, want to go out and get moving again but weather is attrocious. Bfast was mush on toast, lunch HM soup, dinner not decided but might make a quorn and leek pie which roasts and veg. Fruit will be apples. HAPPY SUNDAY EVERYONEWL 11 st 5lb as at 050109. 160209 11st 2lb
