Morning all, thanks for the congratulations bigsmoke, it was a nerve racking but fantastic day, we all really enjoyed it. Seeing all the lecturers in their Masters / PhD robes, us in our robes, and just the whole feeling of celebration, relief at finally getting there, and the cheering etc, was great.
In the end I ate very little, combination of nerves and being busy, had to go to MrT in the evening but bought luxury fruit in the end, instead of crisps and alchohol, no more expensive and so yummy! So was quite pleased with my day's food intake.
Have visitors for the next few days, so food will be a bit up and down, today:
B: museli
L: toastie or something when outchippy fish n chips planned (I might have a salad & grilled fish instead, see what I feel like)
S: banana
Have a great day all, jay xxAnytime;)0 -
Hi All,
As you can see from my sig I have weighed today, I've never been this heavy - even 9 months pregnant with a baby over 10lb. Its so dissapointing and I have only myself to blame
I have ordered The Vegetarian Low Carb Diet by Rose Elliot from Amazon and cant start my dr's prescribed diet until I have it so am just desperate for it to arrive.
Shes told me I must not loose weight too quickly so we will just have to see how I go.

Hi Folks! Well done to all The Losers  Sorry, but I've had to delete some posts relating to weightloss by hypnosis. This thread is specifically for Old Style weightloss:The thread should be about healthy, old style eating. That means recipes and meal plans, support and encouragement and healthy eating. What shouldn't be accomodated here is if the thread goes off topic and covers ready meals, fad diets and weight loss clubs. There is a good thread that covers all that on the 'I wanna' board. So if the thread becomes an extention of that, we will have to close it and ask people to join in there instead.
If you wish to discuss hypnosis, there are threads elsewhere on the boards

Hi all, well after a disastrous 10 days I decided to face the music and get on the scales this morning. I have put on 2 lbs
not as much as I had expected and I am still well within the healthy normal BMi bracket so I can dust myself off and get back to it
So today I have been super-busy in the kitchen making lots of different soups for my work lunches as this seems to be the deciding factor for a good or bad day for me.
B: A banana
L: Leftover Scouse made by my lovely husband and a crusty cobChickpea spinach curry and boiled rice
S: Might have some apple cake if I fancy it.
I am still very positive even after a huge wobble caused by TOTM, crap weather, crap work and scares about family health and mine (all OK now though). Back on the horse and on we go!
Congrats to all the losers and triers :T0 -
hi everyone
bad news on the gain floyd, but it sounds as thought you're taking the righ approach to getting back on track
not too bad a day for me, as it's the weekend

l - pad thai w. mock duck, an orange
s - options hot choc w. 2 choc digestives (oops! but i'm watching midsummer massacres with the heating on, what a treat!)
t - just making cauliflower cheese w. tomatoes and leftover kale dish from last night
s - going to a birthday party, so some booze
enjoy saturday night, whatever you are all doing0 -
Was just sitting thinking of how to start a diet, and thought of my fav site and looked for a diet, and voici ! Can I still join in?
Since I got ME and took to my sofa, I have put on one and a half stone and I want it OFF. But I can't take much exercise - no gym, no jogging, no walking. It isnt eating that's making me fat, its immobility. So I need to be really strict with food --and as I am famous for my sweet tooth--that isnt easy
The aim is breakfast of porridge (water & salt). Lunch is home made soup, no bread.
Dinner I will try for various salads.
The problems will be chocolate, cakes, sweeties, and PUDDING !:D0 -
I know, I know it sounds unhealthy but we have a wedding in 4 weeks time and i want to lose half a stone
Last week i went to the gym nearly every day, worked out for at least 45 minutes then my sister came over today and never noticed I'd lost a thing! I therefore think it's my diet..
Can anyone recommend some meals which are filling and low in fat.. I love food, but will and can easily follow a plan when i set my mind to it..
I'm 10 stone just now, and would love to get to about 9 - 9.5 :j
Thanks!!0 -
Hi debtmustgo,
Half a stone over a period of four weeks isn't necessarily unhealthy provided it's done sensibly and is very achievable while eating a balanced diet. The experts on the Old Style weight loss thread will be able to give you lots of advice and encouragement so I'll add your post to that thread.
Good luck,
Pink0
