Just read through last 2 days posts. Unable to get on everyday at the moment. Bfast was cereal, lunch was veggie samosa and choci bicci - it was a birthday treat brought in by colleague. Dinner was veggie spag bol with wholemeal pasta. Have a really bad cough and went to the theatre tonight, I find chewing gum helps suppress the urge to cough so was chewing all night and this stopped me eating any of the sweets on offer. I also declined the interval ice cream (Ben and Jerries) and just had a coffee no sugar. However when I got home there was some double cream that needed using up so I'm afraid I filled up on banana and cream. Having a weak coffee now then off to bed. There is a salad in the fridge that needs using up for tomorrow so diner is sorted, wholemeal rolls are frozen ready for lunch and bfast will be natural yog and fruit. Still got some apples and plums to take as snacks. Must keep working to get those scales to move in the right direction. No swimming due to cough but walking instead. Hope to do 10K steps.WL 11 st 5lb as at 050109. 160209 11st 2lb

morning!
welcome back Pixie!:j
well done to Nicknoo and BigBird!:T :T
I managed to put half a pound on this week:rolleyes: so must try harder if I want to get back to my target for Christmas - 2lbs to go. More stress here though as my eldest DS has been made redundant and is going to have to move back home after leaving nearly 12 months ago. I will be glad to have him back as I worry about him so much but we live in a rural area so there's not much about in the way of jobs here. Will try not to comfort eat!
Days holiday from work today to do some revision and have the boiler fixed.
Food plans
B - 2 tiny bits of toast - all that was left, Mr T delivering later.
L - jacket spud with spaghetti hoops(hidden veg ones) and a sprinkling of cheese and some salad(2)
D - possibly quorn cottage pie with veggies(2)
snacks - banana, dried apricots, plums and satsumas(3 or more)
Hope you all have a successful day!:wave:Do what you love :happyhear0 -
Starting again today... scales hit a scary all time high, 3 stone more than when I gave birth 8 years ago
Breakfast - toast and yoghurt
Lunch - tuna s/w
Dinner - Pasta Fagioli
Snacks - fruit, 3 dried apricots
Breaking my weight loss targets into small chunks of half a stone a time, as I find the 'bigger picture' too scary. I'm a notorious binger but have managed to curb this over the past few months to only around my TOTM.
Here I start, wish me luck!!!Grocery challenge

Hi all,
I've been lurking on here for a while and thought it was about time I gave myself a kick up the bum and posted, hopefully to get a bit of inspiration and some good advice!
I weighed in at 16st 4lbs this morning, am 5'10" so healthy weighed range in the region of 10 stone to 12-6 apparently. I'd love to get down to pre pregnancy weight of about 11st(Jan 04) but will set smaller targets to get there.
I've been good food wise since the end of August and have lost 15lb already but it just gets so boring sometimes and I get really down about my weight, I've put on a lot in the last year and a half. I'm sitting crying writing this which is nonsense cause I feel fine, its probably just seeing the numbers down in writing!!!!
I weighed 13.5stone at the start of 2007 so had put on 4 stone in 18 months which is ridiculous but have already started taking the steps towards the old slimmer me.
Like I say been good since August- despite the re-launch of wispa's!!! My dd started nursery in August so my routine had a big wake up call as I now have to walk 2.8 miles a day to drop and collect her. I've managed to not take the bus yet despite the freezing weather- one day we skated down the hill to nursery which was good fun!!!
I'm going to read back through the posts and take note of the recipes so I have new meal ideas and no excuse not to cook healthily. I love cooking and have time at home most days to make proper, from scratch meals and I know many of them are healthy and its just that I'm just eating too much- serving up the same sized portion to me as to 6'3" O/H who's on his feet at work all day- my 2.8 miles doesn't compare!!!
Anyway here's to a new start- and hopefully another stone off by xmas!!!MARCH GROCERY CHALLENGE £118/ £2500 -
Hi minted
you have made a great start with the walking and you get loads of tips etc on here, dont think i could walk lo to nursey, 2 miles there and another 2 miles back:rolleyes:
my downfall is chocolate esp wispas, mmm so well done on resisting them:D
main thing is to exercise as well as reducing portion sizes, try not to snack in the evening and drink more water, as sometimes it could just be thirst and not hunger
in scotland also, these dark nights are doing me no favours with my diet, just want to snack all the time:rotfl:
ive got 6 stone to lose, my pre-preg weight was 7 stone, obv am not gonna be that weight but would be happy with 8-9 stone i think
keep a target, say aim to lose 1-2lb a week, if u set bigger targets then that will seem impossible and you will probably fail
try to vary your exercise, say walking one day, and something else another, i find my wii fit is great as it has loads of different exercises to try out.0
