Morning everyone
Had my first WI of the new regime this morning and it wasn't good - 13st 9lb
So 10lbs on since I fell off the wagon, meaning 23 to lose to get to where I want to be. Wedding is 40-odd weeks away, so it averages at around half a pound a week and will hopefully be do-able.
Food started reasonably well yesterday, but ended in a frenzy of snacks!
B - oats so simple + dollop of jam
L - baked potato, HM 5 bean chilli
D - 2x vege burger, sesame seed roll, potato wedges followed by apple charlotte
Snacks - apple, banana, satsuma, crisps, 2x HM hobnobs, 2x ryvita, 3x crackers with cheese & pickle.
I must curb that snacking! I did read somewhere that sometimes when you feel hungry, it's actually because you're thirsty. And I don't drink a great deal so that may be it. I'm going to try to have a glass of water or squash to hand at all times to keep me away from snacks.
Todays plan is
B - oats so simple
L - omelette with tomatoes & peppers
D - sausage & mash (not very low fat, but they need using up)
I'm working from home today so I am away from the temptation heaped on me by my fellow snackers in the office. Must get back to work now, I'm aiming to be done by 4 and then pop down to the gym for an hour. You can do anything, make anything, dream anything. If you change the world, the world will change.0 -
morning, and well done to everyone with successful WIs!
i fell off the wagon somewhat after my class last night - 2 choc digestives and loads of m+ms before i went to bed, grrr, why do i do it to myself!
anyway, today:
b - porridge
l - going out for thai for team lunch, should be some healthy options i reckon
t - maybe a bean stew or something, not sure. something quick to make after spin (which i wasn't going to do, but now feel i have to after last night's chocolate binge)
bigbird - try not to feel down about the gain on your WI - the important thing is that now you're back you're not going to gain anymore, imagine where you might have been if you hadn't taken the bull by the horns now! hopefully it will motivate you to get back to where you want to be...
have a great day everyone, hope the sun is shining wherever you are0 -

Hey all, hope it's alright if I join you! I've got about 2 stone to loose and I was doing really well but fell off the wagon last Christmas and never managed to get back on it again. I help out at a local WW meeting doing the weighing and I'm always positive, helpful, supportive etc and can give great advice but always struggle to do what I say! Anyway my main problem at the moment is dieting on a budget as fruit and veg is so expensive and all the nice recipes seem to have expensive foods iykwim. So I will be attemping to go through all the pages on this thread to try and find some nice ones I can have with the family, unless there's a place with them all together?Fluttering about an inch off the ground, I may fly properly one day and soar in the clouds!

Well todays plan has already gone pear shaped:o. Not been too bad but not too good either. Its absolutly freezing here today so had a yummy jacket spud with cheese n salad a bag of maltesers n crisps for lunch:mad: . Dont know why but once i started eating i just couldnt stop. Feel awful for it now tho.
I need of some inspiration for some yummy warm (and healthy of course) lunches cuz i'm getting sick of eating the same things.
Got plenty of pasta n tinned beans but not much else till i go shopping. Gonna dig through some of my cook books i think.
today
porridge
jacket spud, choc, crisps:o
mince n dumplings

Had to share.... was in Boots so thought I would do an early weigh-in to check that i was vaguely on track.... I have lost 5 lbs!!!!!!!
I am so chuffed! Was 12st9 on saturday and now 12st4 and that was with a mad binge on twinks hobnobs too. Testament to the fact you can rescue things if you slip up if you don't use it as an excuse to throw the towel in lol.
Also testament to the 5 portions a day challenge I reckon.
Thanks so much to everyone on this thread, this is the first time in my life that losing weight properly seems do-able rather than some distant dream.
Food so far today:
Breakfast: leftover hm vegetable curry and rice(1) and banana (1)
lunch: haddock soup and roast veg wrap (1)
snack: bowl of melon and grapes (1)
Dinner: planning a prawn phad thai noodly thing which will have stir-fry veg in it (1)
Made my 5 a day again :T
