    Welcome plzhelpmesave and becca!

plzhelpme - you are around my weight and want to get to the same place as me by the looks of things. I am 12st 9 pounds and really want to shift 10-15 lbs by Christmas. Which will be a miracle seeing as it's taken me 6 months to lose a stone and a half. So I might keep an eye on your progress and have a wee race with you ;) to motivate myself.

becca - we all know exactly how you are feeling, sometimes it feels like an impossible task and we get frustrated at ourselves for not being perfect. This thread has given me lots of good ideas for healthy eating, and though I still have my bad days they are just about outweighed by the good now. It's a lovely place to come for encouragement and help.

Now then, had a good day yesterday. 7 portions of fruit and veg! And nothing carp at all. :j

Today however I have had a nightmare. Been up since 3 with my insanely wide-awake baby so got hungry earlier. Was also very tearful and angry from sleep deprivation so as soon as baby went back to sleep I made a few twinks hobnobs (8) and ate them all with a cup of (sugary) tea. Then had a small bowl of leftover hm curry. I wish I could have gone to sleep instead but she wakes up again if I put her in her cot so she ends up hogging the sofa while I sit in the armchair.

So now I am delirious from lack of sleep and have tummy ache. On the plus side, I've not really had bad tummy ache from over-eating for years. I remember once, after REALLY pigging out on chinese that I thought I would actually die and how embarrassing it would be to die because I ate till my stomach exploded. :D

Tappy - Rescue remedy is homeopathic, squirt a couple of drops on the tongue and it calms you down, don't know how/why it works  but it does, I buy it from Boots or the HFShop.

    S - banana (1)
    L - hummus, ryvitas and a large salad (2/3)
    S - melon and grapes (2)

    Fruit if I need it.

    morning everyone!

quick drop in - half term no time to sit still this week :(

Well done every thread reader and writer - for just staying with it and keeping going however well you have done or not done. The fact we are still all here is just the best and a real boost for me when I'm not feeling very happy.
I'm a bit miffed because I reckon my new meds are starting to restrict my weight loss :( I was warned that it could for 3-6 months but I was hoping it wouldn't. C'est la vie, I'll keep going :)

Take care everyone - sorry if I'm a bit AWOL this week :)

    So far I've had:

B-2 HM rolls with turkey breast sliced thinly

    Snack - banana + satsuma

lunch: 2 slices HM bread. one with turkey breast, one with thin spread peanut butter.

had a few glasses of water and a few coffee's.

I'm not sure what dinner will be yet. Still thinking about that.

Feeling quite sorry for myself today. Honestly. If anybody had a magic pill for sale.. I'd have it.. no matter what the cost..

  • rockie, same here, far too much food and drink over the weekend, and I'm 1lb heavier to prove it!! ..... totally expected though, and I thoroughly enjoyed it!:D

Back on the wagon today and I will get to the pool tomorrow and I will do a minimum of 30 lengths!

Hi to all our newbies, welcome and good luck!
  • Hi All

I'd like to join the weight loss OS board. Have struggled wih my weight and yo-yo'd for years, usually sheepishly returning to weight watchers each time.

Over the past month I have been doing the October GC and am enjoying cooking from scratch and feel that it's healthier too. Also, for the first time in - probably - years I am starting to enjoy food! So, I'd like to combine my new found enjoyment of food with a healthier lifestyle.

I've got about 4 stone to lose. Looking forward to joining you all.

My friends on this thread have been great (thanks guys!!) and a real inspiration.

I don't go to a club, just going for a healthy diet and exercise. Not doing brill on either at the moment, although I have been running around during half term!

So welcome aboard all newbies :T

    Hi folks,
I had a great weekend was reasonably good and walked miles, though I've still not managed to pluck up the courage to get on the bathroom carpet monster since my hols but maybe I will Saturday.... I'm convincing myself I'll get back to pre holiday weight I was 12.13 before I went and I don't ever want to see 13 stone again so I'm cautious:rolleyes: At 5'10" I'm not too much over weight anymore but really want to be slimmer for my birthday at the end of Jan.
Take care all...welcome and good luck to our new friends
