Hi:j
wow, it's been lovely and busy here since yesterday:D
Welcome vickyj, almar (love the weight loss ticker) and sugarhunny.
I'll join you on the 5-a-day challenge too taplady, it's a great idea. I try to have a few nuts or seeds each day too, to keep my essential oil intake up.
Went out for dinner with DH last night, both kids were suddenly out at mates for tea, so grabbed the chance, I reckon it's about the 3rd/4th time we've eaten out as a couple since having kids (DS is 15, lol), mainly because of my hang-ups and anxieties about eating in public. Family/bigger groups aren't so bad, though it's still not comfortable:o. I know DH struggles to understand and would love to go out more with me though, so am trying to face my demons:o. Had a 5 ounce steak and chips, it was yummy. Sorry if that's too much chat:rolleyes:
Food today, with 5-a-day challenge:
B: museli with at least 1tbsp raisins 1 fruit portion
L: 2x toast with cheese or ham, yoghurt with frozen berries 1Fomelette with lots of mushrooms and onions 2 veg, green salad 1 veg, and carrot, apple, celery, raisin, and walnut salad (I love this so eat loads) 2 V 2 F
S: 1 banana, 1 apple 2 F
Not too bad, surprised myself! Makes up for yesterdays 3 scanty portions then:rolleyes:
Have a good day

Minor change for lunch today, developed a migraine so had to forgo the cheese_pale_
Went to the shop and got a tub of hummus, I ate about a third with a bag of kettle chips:o but I did have some celery sticks for my veggie portion:D0 -
Afternoon everyone
I havent yet managed to get to the gym today yet and I dont think I will get
I have been good on the healthy eating side of things today.
B = Asda's own special K with berries
L = This was nearly a disaster as I we went to visit OH's family and then went food shopping. By this time I thought my throat had been slit. Got fruit and munched a banana and an orange, then came home and had a chicken pasta with sweetcorn and peppers. It was delicious. This was followed by a Mullerlight.
D = This is going to be a test as I have a mystery shop tonight but was thinking of having a steak (or something as lean) and a jacket potato and will skip dessert.(willpower, must have willpower!)
Jay111, I admire you for facing up to your fears/demons. I suffer from emitophobia (SP) and had the same problem as yourself with regards to eating out and infront of people and still suffer occasionally but I take deep breaths and try and get engrossed in a conversation to take my mind of the situation.I hope things ease for you next time your out! Please PM me if you would like any support!

Evening all, and welcome to almar and sugarhunny:wave:
Glad you enjoyed your meal out jay, well done you for getting there!:T
Feeling loads better today, not up to going for my usual Tuesday swim, but don't think I would have gone even if I'd been feeling 100%.... cold, wet, miserable dark evenings and me being a bit of a wimp is the reason for that one! Think I'm going to have to find some other form of exercise for the winter but I'm not really an exercise/gym sort of person. Any ideas peeps?
Managing to stay very much on track with very little effort this week up to now, unfortunately a temporary thing rather than me turning all :A as having a cold always makes my tastebuds disappear. Making the most of it while it lasts, they will be back and making up for lost time I'm sure come the weekend....:eek:0 -

Well done Beanielou and Louby on your losses and anyone else I may have missed
Not too optimistic for me to lose or even maintain this week as its TOTM and it feels like a bad one
Well I was in late last night but it was only a 12 hour day so nowhere near as bad as last week so I had sausage and bean casserole after all.
B: 2 wholemeal toast with HM lime marmalade
L: HM veg soupBeef in ale with mashed sweet potato and red cabbage
Have a fab day all0 -
Not a good night last night, baked bean loaf with SW chips and peas (that was ok) but then the 'medication munchies' arrived and I had 2 slices of HM white bread and 2 Twinks hobnobs:mad:
Today, B- porridge with sultanas, apricots and a few almonds
Just had a banana and a ryvita snack bar
L - Ryvitas and ELF cream cheese or hummus, fruit
D - SW quiche with new potatoes and broad beans
So lots of fruit and veg today to make up for yesterday!
Dancing tonight:dance: , 2 hours of latin and salsa to burn off some more fat :dance:0
