I am going to try and at least go swimming 3 times a week or/and dancing around the sitting room to the music like a nutter

evening peeps, and welcome back mumoftwo and queenpig.
Floyd, I'll be joining you in the peeved club tomorrow if the scales don't do a massive nosedive, or don't move in a downwards direction a tidgy bit at least:p Stayed within my calorie limit every single day (a first I think!):A , I've been swimming, walked miles the past couple of days, and even moved the furniture and did under it with the hoover today:eek: .... I'm determined to shift these last couple of pounds!!
Happy pedalling Nicky, good luck with the weigh in tomorrow!0 -
good morning!
I think I posted ages and ages ago wanting to join in with this challenge but I don't seem to be able to stick to any regime. I have asked help from GP and seeing a very nice dietician but all she does is giving me different diets and I have dieted since for about 25 years now and just emotionally just can't hack it, the more I try to stick to anything the more I eat and crave!
I know my problem is that I am an emotional eater, Is there any hope for me or am I destined to stay obese? I am an ok cook, cook from scratch but just way too much, hate being hungry. Anyway, all sounds very negative, doesn't it, but want to get involved on this thread and read your experiences and get good recipe ideas, stuck in a rut a bit, cooking the same dishes over and over again. So, could I please join in? I will be trying to read as many posts as possible. :hello:
Hi mot, That sounds so like me I do all those things and struggle too, wish I had the answer, I'm going to be weighed monthly by the practice nurse--no dietician available but not sure it would help.
I'm going to try psychological approaches now and try to remember to visualise me thin as often as I can, and frequently tell myself I deserve to be thin, I'm worth it, and so on. Might go to the library for some motivational books. Try to distract my thoughts from food and keep busy as possible too, including LOADS of exercise, which I love, but I am NOT going to calculate how many calories I've burnt! (Calculating cals=excuse to eat more/junk:o ).
I'm also going to give up counting calories and otherwise focussing on food, cos this just makes me think about it all the time and end up eating more. Just use packet guides for per person amounts when cooking pasta etc, so I stop cooking too much:rolleyes: , cook even more veg, to fill us up, and avoid using fatty foods (mostly do this but could do more).
So new start for me today:j
Well done to all the losers, and sts and comisserations to the gainers! Have a fab day everyone:T Leyla, xx0 -
morning!
welcome back to mumoftwo and queenpig!:T
Leyla - your plan sounds a good one to me!:T we all eat too big a portion size but it takes some doing to get used to putting less on our plates!I am trying to do this as it helps with my IBS to eat smaller meals but sometimes it looks a minute amount:eek: but when I actually eat it its nearly always enough especially if I try and eat it more slowly.
I havent had the best of weeks so need to try and pull it back a bit before Wednesdays weigh in.
B - soaked muesli and small slice of toast
S - banana
L - jacket spud ,cheese and salad
D - quorn cottage pie and veggies
S - skinny cow lolly
hope you all have a good day - good luck to those weighing in!Do what you love :happyhear0 -
I have gone back to my first post on this thread and was very surprised to see it was on 28 July (thought it was March) and I weighed 11st 6, therefore in all that time I have gained 1lb. So overall considering Sept has been a complete write off I suppose I should be grateful. I WILL try harder. Today will be cereal for bfast, bulger wheat salad for lunch and bean stew for dinner. Of to a 2 hour yoga class this eve. Good luck everyone.WL 11 st 5lb as at 050109. 160209 11st 2lb
11st 5lb as at 20.04.09 11st 7lbs 040509 11st6 010609 I wish 2016 175 lbs.

Pleased to report that I have lost 3lb of the 4lb gained since the start of September, so taking into account the many meals out I have gained just 1lb.
I'm back on track.0 -
Hi all,
Well I didn't think I had done too badly at the BBQ yesterday but writing it all down makes it look really scary
1 quorn burger in a white roll
2 tbsp rice salad
2 tbsp pasta salad (tomato based not mayo)
1 inch piece of french stick
Palm size portion of crisps
Halloumi kebab (3 x 1/2 inch cubes with veggies on it)
4 prawns in satay marinade
and a twelfth of a white chocolate and raspberry torte that I made
Considering I didn't eat anything else all day (no brekkie or lunch) I don't think it will be too bad.
Today I feel really under the weather so eating is the last thing on my mind but I don't want to fall into the trap of skipping meals as it will only damage my loss long term.
B: Nothing
L: HM veg soup and a wholemeal rollChicken in mushroom sauce or Campbells condensed soup as its more commonly known

Other spends (Clothes Luxuries etc)£11.97 + £1.19 + £7.36 + £69.00 + £38.50 + £5.50 + £23.00 +£2.00 = £158.52:shocked::sad:0 -
Well i forgot to weigh in again today. Gonna wait till next wk now. Was a bit naughty today. Went to town n my mum bought us a cheese pasty each. Nearly died when i did my boots diets n found out how many cals and grams of fat were in one. Not far off 500cals n 23grams of fat:eek:. Did loads of walking n had a healthy tea to make up for it. Will have to make sure i'm extra good for the rest of the wk too.
