Hi all :j
I typed out a very profound message of encouragement but then it all disappeared so I will just say big hugs to those that need it and well done to Angelnikki :T
Missed breakfast again this morning, bad habit to get into so I must try and sort that out. When I do remember to have it, I am still doing the variety thing as I am convinced Tappy is onto something there
B: An apple at 10.30 to stop me eating my mousemat!
L: Beans on wholemeal toast (small tin on 2 normal slices)Roast chicken and veggies, OH said he 'can't be arsed' to think of anything different so we are using up the leftovers from yesterday
S: Small skinny cappuccino and maybe a banana later if I need it.
I have got a ton more eating apples to do something with tomorrow night, think I might make Delias braised red cabbage then freeze it for when I do beef and Guinness pie to save having a big pile of mash with it :A
I am a little scared about the weekend because we are going to a friends house for food and drinks so I won't have too much control over what is available. At least its Sunday so I will have a week to repair any damage0 -
How did the sugarless cake come out Suzi--me muvva's diabetic so I'd be more than interested in the recipe [she says effa so sweetly
]
Really chuffed with cake, almost christmasy taste to it.
INGREDIENTS
200g (8oz) sultanas
250ml (1/2 pint) non-sweetened orange juice (I used orange, mango & passion fruit that I had in fridge)
75g (3oz) low fat marg (I used normal sunflower)
200g (8oz) wholemeal self raising flour
25g (1oz) Jordans Natural Wheat Bran (its their recipe)
1 tsp mixed spice
2 eggs
METHOD
Soak sultanas in orange juice overnight.
Preheat oven to 180c/350F/ Gas Mark 4
Grease and line a 15cm/6in tin
Mix flour, wheat bran and spice.
Rub in Marg into flour mix until it forms crumbs. Stir in beaten eggs, fruit and orange juice.
Turn into tin and bake for 1 and 1/2 hrs or until a skewer comes out clean.
I worked out that its 157 cals (using full fat marg) if cut into 12 slices and I think next time I'll put it into 12 muffin cases instead of one big cake. Hope your 'muvva' likes it as much as I do.
Congrats to losers and good on yer all those exercising like fury, well done all:T . Suz"It came to me that every time I lose a dog they take a piece of my heart with them. Evening!
Well done to all the losers:T , and to everyone else for trying:T
Had a good day, 2x dog walks, swam 30 lengths and cleaned for 4 hours solid, including windows and bathing stinky dog:eek:, lol. OKish foodwise too, weakened before tea and had some toast--was so hungry and it was mmmm.
So food:
B: museli
S: banana
L: h/m veg soup, 2 slices bread
S: moccha coffee (instant decaf with a spoon of options), plus 2X toast with jam/peanut butter
T: spag bol, peas, and salad
Think I'm slightly sliding off the wagon, just hope all the exercise makes a difference:o
Have a good evening all and a nice day tomorrow0 -
Congratulations to all the losers, and keep trying everyone else
I WI this morning (couple days late) at 10 st 10, so 2lb loss :j:j(I think!)
Breakfast today-black coffee, large glass OJ and a muller healthy corner (am sure its not that healthy but I am hungry this morning!)
Lunch-leftover chinese style hot/sour veg soup (I made this yesterday for lunch-in a wok stir fry handful sliced pepper, sugar snaps, couple handfuls bean sprouts for a minute or two, then added some leftover HM chicken stock, and some extra water to make it more soupy, good splash oyster sauce, little splash fish sauce, some soy sauce and LOTS of chilli flakes and a wee bit fresh coriander. Also some cooked egg noodles-1 slice. It was totally delicious, healthy-ish and made absolutely tons so have a bowl ful in the fridge for me to reheat later )
Dinner will be made by OH, but hopefully not involving creamHave pointed him towards sliced new spuds, cabbage and pork chops done in the Remoska, fingers crossed he listens to me :rotfl:
Weekend ahead I am working and have a meal out on Saturday night so expect I will put some weight back on
Good luck to everyone who WI today :T

Well done Hotcookie thats a great loss :T
I am feeling pretty good today, I wore clothes that actually fit my new shape and my boss noticed as soon as I walked in and asked how I had lost it all (nearly 2 stone now). Its always so encouraging when people actually notice isn't it
Still well and truly on the wagon as I am hoping I can get to the elusive 11-stone-something mark this week
B: Bran Flakes with semi skim milk and a banana
L: Not sure yet, as its payday we usually go out somewhere but I think I will avoid it and buy a jacket spud or a nice M & S posh salad (I know, not at all OS but I only buy them on payday)
Another no-idea meal, OH is out working early tonight so I will fend for myself which usually means pasta pesto, beans on toast or spaghetti zucchini. I can cook but I just choose not to when its only me and I have been in work all day :rotfl::rotfl:
I have lots of cooking to occupy me tonight and its things that I can taste test without feeling guilty (apple jam and braised red cabbage) although there is a chance I will make a cheesecake tomorrow but it will be after WI so I'm not so bothered if a fingerfull of the topping jumps into my mouth!
Have a great weekend all, hugs to all :T0 -
Lovely losses nikki and hotcookie, well done you:T
Had intended to be at the pool by now if I was going but I'm still sat here with a cuppa in my pj's so looks like that's not going to happen:D Sun's shining though so off for a long walk later.... glad the weather man got it right for once, that's why I've taken the day off!
Not sure what's on today's menu yet.
Have a good day everyone!0 -
Morning!:j
Embarrased to report a 1lb gain. Thought I was doing OK with all the exercise, plus I've given up alcohol and crisps (my main weakness!) but obviously still eating too much:o. Time to cut back some more...
Am off to the pool in a bit for aquafit and lane swim, might do a bit of cycling this afternoon if the weather holds. Had museli for brekkie, not sure about rest of menu today.
Have a good day everyone
