    Morning all :hello:

Been MIA for what seems like forever, but have been lurking and keeping my beedy eye on you all. Big welcome to all you newbies and congrats to all you losers :T . Rocky hope things improve soon for you and yours (((hugs))).
What a few weeks we've had here at the Wolves den. DS2 had his 30th and a big party so all the brood came home for me to cluck over :D . DS4 announced he was dropping out of his college course too late to get on the one he wants to do and we only managed to get a 1year fill in course yesterday. Drop in income would not have gone down well with wedding next year. At least it gave me the incentive to economise on the food front and I spent last Monday with my bottom in the air defrosting the freezer and making an inverntory of all that lurked in the depths. 2weeks menu's are organised and I set to baking using up elderly products in the cupboards :D.
The runner beans are LOADED this year and have been eaten, frozen and given to neighbours. Beetroot and onions gathered in yesterday so reasonably up to date on the vegi front. Christmas cake made and all things insulation bought and waiting to be installed. Single glazed bedroom window is going to look 'interesting' with it's bubble wrap, have to tell myself it's new net curtains.
Now ......... I've seen two people who haven't seen me since I lost weight and both said how much better and younger I looked :o but finished by saying 'you don't want to lose and more do you' in the tone that says 'don't do it'. So after a great deal of dithering as you'll all know, having bored you all rigid, I want to stay put. This is the tricky bit. No more yoyoing, just eating a healthy well balanced diet to maintain my body. Ha!!!!! if only it was that simple. I've set myself a maximum weight of 11st 4lbs and if I go above that I need a big kick up the proverbials and I need you lot to do it, OK???? :rotfl:
Right enough waffle from me, breakie calls and then clean the plastic greenhouses, wash out plant pots and get things put away ready for winter. Have a great weekend folks. Suz

    welcome back suzid !

sounds like you are well organised at home! Well done on reaching your target - like me now its a matter of stopping there:D I have been at mine give or take a couple of pounds since February. I think I set my target a few pounds too low as I have struggled to maintain it so am settling for 2 pounds over what I originally wanted.
I also think that I may have to revise it when I get to the dreaded menopause:eek: as it will be very difficult to keep to it. I might up it then by half a stone - will see how I go.;)

Morning all, absolutely delighted to report a 3lb loss for me!
So finally I am a 'normal' BMI again after at least 5 years of being overweight, all I need to do now is add some distance between that line :D

I ended up having some salted popcorn last night while watching a film so was still just within my days cals but it was nice to have something snacky.

B: Nothing, lovely lie in instead

L: Mozarella and vine tomato ciabatta with lots of salad on the side

D: Channa jalfrezi with boiled rice and 2 popadoms

S: A lovely piece of my HM baked cheesecake with fresh raspberry coulis as my weekly pudding treat, can't wait :p

Have a lovely weekend all, my next goal is to be 11-something so heres hoping

  • Hi all, thanks for the welcome. Some fab losses, very, very, inspiring. I seem to lose and regain the same 6 lbs over and over and need to drop 4 stone to get my BMI below 25, seems a huge, impossible, amount to me. But then I see all these massive losses you peeps have managed, and, well, WOW! :T Makes me feel it's possible.:o

I've registered with the food focus website, and am using it to count calories--means I can include some treats and hopefully learn long-term, maintainable, eating habits, lol:rolleyes: . Trying just one pound a week too--recuperating from an illness so going easy on the exercise, will become 2 lb when I can get going again--and I think too strict a diet has been my downfall in the past.

I hope I'm right, cos I'm so desperate to lose weight, and fed up with being limited by my size, at this point I'd try almost anything.
  • Well done to all the losers :)

I just did something very bad...... when walking home from town I was very hungry and I had a cone of chips  How dreadful are they for me really? Or do I just not wanna know and bury my head in the sand and pretend they didn't happen :D
